6-8 ft of leaedcore ffs i wish jim shelly would get wrapped up in it, fall in the lake and drown tbh, apart from the leadcore bit there are some good answers here mate
imho, NO. i have caught a carp that was trailing 3 feet of leadcore on an inline set up with a 3oz inline tight on the splice. as i have already said mate, heli ONLY if you really feel the need for leadcore, tbh why do you feel you need to use it?

here's some threads for you to have a read of, what i will say is, if you intend on using leadcore then imho the only way to use it is heli style
mate i hope he is ok and i gotta say sorry for laughing at some of the replys on here. tbh i often do that but after this i have realised how easy it is so you have given me the kick i need not to do it before i have the same problem
try 6 or 8, but it really is trial and error mate, the reason you are missing takes could be blunt hooks, hair to short or long, big bait small hook, it could be many different factors tbh mate
jez, i have been told the crimps can shatter fluro? not sure how true this is though but bare it in mind mate. i am going to get the crimps and pliers soon cause i keep hearing how good they are and that the crimp is stronger than any knot you can use
mate, as my last post said even things like fixed lead aint illegal. if we as carp anglers dont moan then the dangerous stuff will always be used so we need to moan tbh
i think you will find that it is still legal to use FIXED leads but would you uase them? or bent hooks and again would you use them? i have out up 3 good links to leadcore so you cant say there has been no help. if the guy had come on asking about fixed leads or bent hooks my response and most others (and probably yours) would have been the same its just that because idiots like shelly uses and promotes lead core people still use it and it is not completely in the public eye the dangers of it

here are 3 threads to get you started on LEADERS AND LEADCORE
its no more dangerous than any other set up in the wrong hands
in the RIGHT hands this is dangerous. leadcore is far worse than anything else out there and imho there is no place for it in carp fishing so i can lock a lead to my line that wont come off in a break of but cannot use my lead core on free running set up then .
and who the hell said that was safe? no one as far as i can see. this thread is about leadcore and i along with others have stated the dangers of it. do a search and you will find PLENTY of reasons why leadcore is DANGEROUS.

tubing and leaders are there primarily to avoid tangles (anti tangle tubing) fairbrass being the person he is see a gap in the market and has caught yet more anglers. he knows how to catch people and thats a fact
