  6. have a search for the kd rig mate. basically tie the knotless knot but once you have wound round the hook down the hair lift the hair and wind round a couple of times under it. i am so bad at trying to explain things lol, what will happen is where you wind a couple of times under the hair it kicks it out a little. google it and you will find a far better explanation than what i can give lol

    NEXT BIG THING

    agree with ya here mate
  13. very hard tbh, if it aint been fished for 40 years then the minute 12 rods go in 2 acres then the fish will hit the bottom and go right off the feed, so imho 30 fish is a right result mate
  14. well surely if as you said the 4 anglers are very accomplished then why listen to what the owner said in way of how many rods to use? surely he aint got a rule that says 3 rods must be used? i dont know the water so cant comment on fish stocks mate but honestly this is carp fishing, sometimes you can turn up at a lake and have a shed load, then you could go to the same lake/swim and fish exactly the same way a week later and blank
  15. in all honesty mate, a 2acre lake with 12 rods no wonder the fish shut up shop and went off the feed (which imho is what happened) as said if you had 30 fish out of a stock of 100 that is good going considering the pressure they was under with 12 rods in the water. if me and 3 mates went we would have had 2 rods each in such a small water and i guarantee would have had more fish because there would have been a lot less pressure
  16. do a search on here about leadcore mate, i for one think it should be banned but there are still a few people that use it
  17. lmao, i didnt even notice that, all i noticed was the rig being trapped and replied
  18. NO that is a death rig mate, you dont need the swivel on the mainline which will trap your hjooklink if you crack off and the carp will have no way of dropping the rig it will just tow the lead round with it and end up getting snagged
  19. why would anyoe buy a set of top of the range fox at £500? and a set of top of the range delks at the same price? seems a bit ott to me to have 2 sets of top of the range alarms tbh
  20. this is the thing lol, no way on this earth will i ever accept that delks are better than the rx's but no way will you ever accept the rx's are better. it is all down to personal preferance really
  21. another delkim v fox thread coming up lmao. i dont like delkims for 2 reasons 1) the stupid battery compartment 2) it rains and they scream 3) i have 2 mates that have the txi's and both have had problems with the remote not working properly 4) they stich you up by you having to by illuminated hangers that only fit delkim at £25 EACH, where with fox you can get a set of 4 for for £16, and i aint had a problem with my £16 set 5) they price fix which, as far as i understand is illegal yet they get away with it. which means a british company ripping off the british public
  22. great write up mate, can dave really count the fish as a pb? you it his rod for him lol. sounds like you enjoyed yourselves
  23. i have got this myself but for some reason cant get into it which is strange because everyone says what an easy read it is. i tead terry hearns a flick of the tale and loved it but went straight in IPOTL so this could be why. i will have to try again soon cause AFOTT AND INPTL are the 2 books i wanted to read
  24. i really love the place, a really lovely looking water with great food to go with it lol. home made scopex boilies done the trick for me mate. http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=47773&highlight=catch+report
  25. i used to add salt to my tropical tank, the problem is imho is that when it is added to food the fish are eating it in a very concentrated state rather than swimming in it
