  1. Finally worked out where I had seen the original idea that I had been working on, although I think that my idea is slightly different to the current latest wonder rig in the mags.
  2. You've previously asked the same question in another thread. I moved the post into New to Carp.com: http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=37683 I gave you a link to some Leicester waters on that and recommended the search facility as I know that the same question has been covered in the past.
  3. If I'm using Silicon Tubing for the Line aligner then I cut it to size and shape and then put it on the hooklink material with a needle to pull the hooklink through the Line aligner hole I've made. Then I tie the hook and slide the tubing down
  4. It would be nice to see a photo. I doubt you will. His post is over 3 years old Why start a new thread when there is one you know that covers the topic?
  5. No worries, I just mentioned it as I find it easy to tie, or rather it is the Knot I know how to tie and have no problems with
  6. Just been mooching through the forum. Looked at this water being as I work in Ilford, handy for overnighters and then go into work. How safe is it for Night Fishing? What are current conditions of the site, clean tidy or a bomb site etc? Also what are current facilities? Is it able to be visited to have a look around or is that out the question? Sailing Lake looks like a venue and a half
  7. What is the knot that Kryston show in their packing for loop knots? Whatever it is, I use that one if I ever need a loop
  8. Anything in here under Cheshire or Lancashire to suit: http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=27977 Phone numbers for many venues. Then just search them see if they are on the forum, may be easier than having to wait for an answer that may or not be forthcoming
  9. As far as I'm aware there is NO NIGHT FISHING on them. But since you are a member of Kings Lynn and District, they will be able to tell you via phone call or a tackle shop that sells their tickets
  10. Cos I looked it up the other day about a couple of waters, try this thread: http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=37283 In the quote on that thread somewhere is a phone n umber
  11. I have had a look through the forum, and any threads that have been started asking for information on any of the Walthamstow complex, Upper/Lower Maynard etc are all left alone or with minimal posts. In other words you are going to have to do the Hard Work yourself actually on the venues and making friends on the Reservoirs themselves
  12. Hi Mate and Welcome to the forum. Probably the only way to find out is to fish it yourself. Do as much research as you can, find out as much about the location of fish, look for them as much as you possibly can, and then you decide. River Fishing is to me, a lot more rewarding at times than sitting out on a Lake. The Great Ouse System may well contain some absolute lunkers. Many of the other Fen Drains do and many of them connect somewhere with the Great Ouse
  13. The same as I use on a Lake
  14. In his post header profile it says Dagenham Not being funny, but I would be very wary of being alone on some of the waters in that area, especially since I know a few of them inside the M25 and Dagenham area. ' ' I also know that if you type Essex Waters into the search facility and specify the UK Where to fish you have anumber of threads come up from London, all the way up to Colchester. This is from the UK Where to fish by Counties sticky:
  15. For Suffolk, Take your pick out of this little lot. It is not complete, but gives a fair few waters to have a look at: Originally posted in May 2008, now reposted and brought to the top of the section.
  16. Is that this place that has already been mentioned on this forum? http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=35031&highlight=fairview Just by posting on a subject you bring it back to the top of the section
  17. Bechers Brook, a jump on the Grand National Racecourse
  18. Believe it or not, there are 4 threads about Boddington Reservoir, you started 2 of them, and none of them in the past have been posted on, all from a long way back. It may help if you give a county or nearby town as that may give clues as to its location. Normally I would say post on 1 to bring it back to the top, but it looks like it is a pretty much "Unfished for Carp" venue. I have moved this in Where to Fish section
  19. Flipping Heck! I just googled Belvide Reservoir, and it looks like a challenge to fish as it is an SSSI. A permit required just to VISIT it.
  20. Last thread I remember about Belvide was this one, from the start of the year: http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=31596
  21. http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=3068&highlight=kell+lake From the search facility
  22. I know where it went; It was removed as there are already a number of threads on UK Carping Holidays in existance! http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=36196&highlight=holiday http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=35779&highlight=holiday http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=35707&highlight=holiday (may be a familiar thread as well ) http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=30615&highlight=holiday http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=27575&highlight=holiday http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=25192&highlight=holiday Also it was posted in the wrong section of the forum
  23. I've not got much on Syndicate waters down in that area, maybe a couple of Club and Day Ticket waters I wonder if someone is including a Membership only water as a Syndicate? Don't know if these are any use:
  24. will be inserted somewhere nasty if you dont tell us! I doubt there's room for another Unlike you I only have my ear pierced
  25. Its a good point about D-rigs, although I prefer them for Snowman presentations. (I probably said the same on that other thread as well ). My thought came about because of the problems I've been having with hookpoints dropping with standard presentations, either the shank mounted hair or even the weight of the hook pulling the point down with a shank mounted rig ring sliding back towards the eye. Whether this is the same with all hooks being heavier towards the point I don't know and the pivot point
