  1. Cheers , i thought so
  2. Im pretty sure im right but wanted you to confirm this When buying a reel such as a Daiwa Crosscast 5500 , or 5000 the only difference is the 5500 takes more line on the spool than the 5000 ,the reels are the same size though
  3. My Nash indulgence 8 leg , this does not seem to sink far at all ,and is Extremely, Extremely comfortable when you lay on it , downside it weighs around 13 kilos.
  4. https://tritontackle.co.uk/product/triton-tackle-2-man-bivvy/ Seems very good value for money , its not strictly 10,000 HH , as each skin is 5000 HH , no peak , worth a punt though .
  5. Just bought a second hand Trakker RLX Nano chair , and what an excellent piece of kit this will be , it is extremely light and seems well made , but what i really like is its versatility , The Trakker Video sums it up really , i have tried it just on a level floor ,its ok, bit low and too acute an angle , but i didnt buy it for on the level. http://trakkerproducts.co.uk/trakker-products/rlx-nano-chair/
  6. I always use a dab of superglue , it also acts as a line aligner to a degree.
  7. You wont go far wrong with a pair of ... Fox Micron M+ Bite Alarms at around £50 for a pair
  8. That bag does seem good value
  9. What great price , i have both of the above only difference is mine is the Plus wide sleeping bag, i fish all year and have never been cold not even when the lake froze over.
  10. The bearings in the TLD range of multipliers has dropped considerably since they first came out , talk to any charter skipper that uses them for rod/ reel hire , its probably a marketing strategy , make a reel last a couple of years or so then buy new again , then repeat
  11. Second that , around £50 each , great rods ,handle well and look good
  12. Spin Doctor is the only one i know off .
  13. I don't mind paying for quality, so I'll stick with Whiplash, tried and tested , also use it on my boat reels for Conger , Tope and suchlike
  14. At worst ill move left or right rod over to one side , but thats no big deal as it doesnt disturb the baits already cast out. Im sure you are just looking for an argument now with those comments above , what you think you may have seen as to what probable happened are two different things
  15. Never Ever Ever Ever had a problem using a pod , no different to sticks , Never moves and has never been pulled over even locked up . I know of know one who has had problems with their pod .
  16. I have the adobe 2 man , only used it once just to try it out , seems a good bivvy plenty of space ,came with extra skin , easy to put up , The material is probable 5000 HH the better bivvy material will be 10000 HH
  17. From the picture it would seem the buzz bars are extendable , it will be alright to use.
  18. Had the same with Nash Bugs the small ones , the would sink once the had absorbed water in about 10 mins
  19. I have the Tracker Big Snooze Wide , i use it summer and winter , fleece lined which is nice
  20. I found out with my Delks before the TXis i have now that batteries other than Duracell would not work the alarms properly , so only ever use Duracell now . This was pointed out to me by a member on my syndicate as he had similar problems with his until he changed to Duracell.
  21. I would look on Ebay or Gumtree for a quality second hand bedchair, far better than a cheap new one
  22. I have Daiwa Emblem X , had them for years ,only ever cleaned and oiled , never missed a beat see no reason to change , On another note it would seem Shimano have cut back on the quality of bearings and internal workings on their TLD range of sea reels a few years back ,but cant comment on their freshwater reels
  23. That gas can should last the time you require ,but to be on the safe side have a spare in the car . The stove people seem to rave about is the , not read a bad report ...Bluin T4 PS, i dont have a T4 my opinion is based on others experiences
  24. My mate loves his with the remote , to be fair they are pretty good but not for me .
  25. I too use these , but you have to make sure the little hook at the end is the right way up , not facing down to your thumb
