  1. Not sure if this would be classed as a priceless moment 😂 I fished thorny Weir and the mets donkeys ago and had a mental take ! My left rod was cast about 50 yds out in line with a sunken barge they have in the lake and this torpedo came back at me the shot to the left into a overhanging bushes area of the margin where a few coots were hiding. Well I did manage to land the coot but the carp had got off the hook.
  2. I bought a ftx bugster monster truck thing few years back..it was great fun and stupidly fast , I upgraded the chassis and other components to metal it cost me a quite a few quid and it just kept stripping the drive pinion gear . I ended up selling it ! My best mate is an ftx nut has several vantages and carnages and untold boxes of bits , it was he who persuaded me to get into the damn thing's lol . I did always like the crawlers though 👌

After reading this thread I now understand why most venues prohibit wading . Scary stuff ! 😱

  7. Now this has made the forum even better for me. A bikers chat 👌 I've had my 1998 Yamaha thundercat since 2016 . Been all over the uk on her , been through great times and bad times and she's carried me through heartbreak and a divorce . Many great friends and family have been made because this old girl. Bikerlife 🖤
  8. Good luck 🤞 🍀
  9. I met chilly at the carp society event at sandown Park race course must have been 2018 , I randomly bought one of his books ( light my fire) from the tackle exchange in Walton the year before and loved it, what a great book. So while I was there got him to sign all of his books that I had bought prior to the event 👍 absolute top fella and proper down to earth.
  10. I'm guilty of number 3 😂😂
  11. I'm a subscriber to surfers against sewage too. I've been following this travesty for a long time . Thames water are prolific at discharging into the Thames, and United utilities up here in the North West have been polluting the lakes in the lake district as well. I've signed countless petitions but it never goes anywhere. Those feckers in parliament and the EA do nothing. All the years I fished the Thames and paid for a three road licence and never once see or met a bailiff. It's disgusting!
  12. Thank you so much that's awesome information. Can't wait to get back out there now 😁👍👍
  13. Funny you mention that , I have quite often given that some thought over the years . I've never tried it as never thought the prawns would stay on the hair ? Also thought of muscles too . For the prawns as they differ in size would I need to make a rig to suit the size of the prawn as in hair length?
