Hi Everyone I'm kicking myself for not going fishing today , but after 2 days of rain I'm trying to convince myself that the fish wouldn't be biting anyway ; would they ? . 🤔

Need to settle a marital dispute before someone's sleeping in the shed 🤣 Here's my question: If u go carp fishing and only catch bream or a angry little jack, or even every species in the lake but... NO CARP then did you BLANK OR NOT!? I say: If you go carp fishing and catch every species in the pond except a carp then you BLANK!! She says: If you go carp fishing and catch anything at all even if it's not a carp then it's NOT A BLANK. I reply: I'm carp fishing not course fishing so it's still a BLANK if no carp grace the net!! Who's right lol.

We're the hotel was, there was only 4 hotels in the area, ours included....but getting there from the airport reminded me of the film American Sniper, in how they traveled around the city in there little vans and bikes,

ha ha, difficult because as far as i am concerned i go fishing and whether i catch carp or anything its not a blank for me if i land something. i set up for carp but if i catch something else then its just a bonus fish but not a blank good luck with the arguement as i am sure a few of us have had that conversation at some point......

Fair play. U atleast deserve a sticker lol. Bet even in the heat it was amazing out there. I've never left the good old UK. I get travel sick on a merry go round or pedal boat 🤣

I've had a some nice fish after the rain and nw wind when the waters all dirtied up. Less chance of them spooking off your rig. They have to rely more on the sences rather than sight aswell Only ever caught from one venue after the rain

The number of times I've caught in the rain. I've caught in rain so heavy that it poured off my waterproof jacket and my boots were squelching as they were full. If anything I think the low pressure unsettled weather increases the feeding urge over high pressure and just the 'occasional snack', especially if it is with a south or westerly based wind. I must admit I do hate packing away a wet bivvy though; wrapping the umbrella up in a dripping wet groundsheet is not fun.

🤔🤔🤣🤣 It's the setting up/packing down I hate when it's raining, you got all the faff of trying to dry it all at home🤦‍♂️ I'm looking at a day ticket on a new res for tomorrow, but heavy rain is on the forecast and I can't bring myself to do it 🤣 My best session was 24 hours in storm, probably shouldn't of been fishing with a red weather warning but in the space of 5 hours I done 4 20s, believe two was a 27 and a 29, then a pb common of 31.5 🤙 It was really weird conditions, the sky went like a moody yellow colour, torrential rain with a stream of water running out from under the ground sheet and it was really close and humid. At one point I was bringing in a fish with the tip under the water because i had lightning cracking above 😭🤣

Hello mate, you're not far from Yately. Quite a few good lakes there. I don't know what the waiting lists are like. But try the tackle shop, they're very helpful and might be able to point you in the right direction. Be lucky

Yeah mate very disappointed with myself. That's me back on the wagon now 👍🤣 quite a few 20s and a couple 30s came out of the water I was gonna fish 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Looking at the bank balance this morning and seeing the price I was paying on rounds is soul destroying 🤣🤣I'm trying to forget the rubbish I was waffling, hopefully I don't bump into them for a while 🤦‍♂️🤣

£10.00 for three bags of whole king prawn with the shells on, cracking bait mate, the amount of blood that comes out these is unreal.

I'm still at it 🤣🤣, just got back with the Pooch, shopping next then hopefully something to eat, power nap, then sort more later on....needa week to recover from 2 weeks holiday 🤣

Back this morning at 4am from 10 days in egypt, coolest day was 36oC hottest was 43oC....soon be on a 4hr round trip drive to pick the pooch up from sister in laws at Thirsk....been up since 5.30am yesterday, screaming baby behind us on plane for 5hrs, no sleep then or even today, back in work at 4.30 in morning.
