Hi would anyone have a recommendation for somebody to roll bait for me in the Essex area, as my previous bait maker has retired 😩

Just tied up a small bag filled with pellets and a rig with a hook bait, weighed it with a 3oz lead came to 4oz ish What surprise me was how much bait was in the bag after it dissolved

Keep going Elmo just takes time mate 👍 I got some outdoor work booked in, painting houses what weight iv put on soon falls off 🤞

That has always been the case you can fish for coarse fish with a salmon license but not the other way around.

You still need to renew it then argue the case I’ll just swallow it as it’s been my choice not to go

Well week 2 weigh in hasn't gone at all to plan,I did really well all week apart from a papa John's Friday night, which probably wasn't the best idea,of all the takeaways pizza Is the worst , but we did a 5k walk yesterday to try and limit the damage, didn't work, stayed the same this week 😭 Real life may slow me down but it won't stop me, still going to keep trying, hopefully next week will be a big one to make up for it 👍 Anyone else making any positive steps at the moment?

I did go through a stage of touching up hooks, and honestly found it made no difference. Now I don't even touch up pike singles or treble hooks, blunt or turned point on hook change trace or hook link. Waters I fish I seem to turn points over on underwater features, branches, mussels, concrete. Nothing more annoying than feeling a freshly sharpened hook down, knowing it has not gone right and reeling in a turned over hook. I've mentioned it in the past about one rig catching a 26 at Merrington during a carp.com social. That same rig caught more fish, think it was another 5 at Hintlesham, until I turned the point overcasting and finding a tree. The strange thing, if you get the same pattern in barbed and barbless, the barbed appears to the naked eye, more blunt than barbless. It is normally an illusion. What stops hooks penetrating is the barb, exactly what holds it in place. Take the barb down and penetration is improved. That is something I used to do on many Owner FLB's, the barb on some was brutal.

I am in the same situation, I read this, I think it means upgrading but it didn't state rod useage or upgrading for salmon or sea fishing, How to Upgrade a Rod Licence 2021 You must use the correct type of Environment Agency Rod Licence when you are angling for fish. You must not fish for sea trout or salmon with a Trout, Coarse Fish and Eel licence. Note: You can upgrade your fishing licence by paying the difference in rod licence cost at a Post Office branch.

Some brilliant flavours there, I’d forgotten the maplecreme, secret agent and plum royale! 3 flavours I had real confidence in years ago. The zing flavours I’ve read a lot about and heard how good they were but I never had the chance to use them myself. I had to go to richworth then nutrabaits to get a ham flavour I was happy with, the premier one was ace, but All of these ham flavours are discontinued now. I managed to get a bottle from nutrabaits in their discontinued line.

Flavours that I've used in the past and a few I still use today, even ones that have been discontinued for years. Fortunately I found a couple of them still being made albeit not by the original maker, after a google search, though with brexit I've been so far unable to get anymore as they are in the EU. Pink zing, green zing and milk and ice cream all from Geoff Kemp. Solar squid and octopus, esterblend 12 , black and blue. Richworth plum royale. Darenth valley baits skunk and geranium. Hutchy secret agent. Premier Nodd oil, matrix flavour, condensed milk. John baker ala salar, plum, maple cream and butt cracker.

Richworth frozen tutti fruity back in the day had my first carp from Horseshoe lake on it low 20... god how we struggled on that lake.I kept the tutti put it on my key ring had it for years, used Solar Quench on a lake they loved it.... often wonder if a bait had no smell at all would it make any difference to our catch rate.... or are they put in to catch us 🤔
