    2lb TC vs 30lb+ Carp

I use pins a lot in my carping as most on here will attest... I take it a stage further by using split cane a lot too... a lot of folks still think you need 3.5lb rods and big pits... but on small intimate waters they are more of a hinderance... go with what you know and damn the torpedoes

    2lb TC vs 30lb+ Carp

I know Framey, in my reels case though it were bad maintenance. I have a very good mate in his now mid 50s whom I lovingly call the old god taught me damn near most of what I knew when I started out as a carp angler and same said with barbell fishing. In actual fact my barbell fishing even to this day remains vastly unchanged from what he taught me unlike my carp fishing which has progressed massively over the 11 years since I started, I've learnt to adapt my technique to incorporate some of my old match tactics from my years as a junior matchman hence the massive love for short handed rods with low tcs and such small leads. But even he's said many a time a true angler should be able to land a big carp without needing to touch the clutch, thinking back I'm amazed he never had me blindfolded on 1 foot on the bank learning to play carp just by feel true Karate Kid style lol. To be fair Carpmaster, the only time I break out the centrepin is if I'm trying my luck for trout or want a good day out for other small river fish on the fly. I had looked at Carp fishing on the fly but never had a venue close enough to accommodate it which is a shame as I really wouldn't mind giving it a go. Like I think most of us have agreed so far the fight you get on such an "under gunned" low tc rod is exactly the reason many of us get so hooked on fishing in the first place.

Still think you shod build a Crocopult, melt a pair of crocs together epoxy resin a bit of pipe in the centre of the now joined croc soles add a catty and there you have the Crocopult.

I haven't yet 😁do you mean the heavy one? I did look at them, will try the other one first tut thanks, I have no problem with korda tbh they put a lot back and now make some great podcasts 😁 πŸ‘ I will give it a go, I do have a slightly dodgy left shoulder though from a bmx incident a few years ago, but It may help to use both as it slightly restricts your arm movement which may help 😳

Have you tried the Katapault? I know it's that brand, but I wouldn't buy a different one since having them. Haven't needed to yet, but you can buy spare elastics too. Had to buy a spare when I left it at home. Had them several years, no issues really. New cable tie here and there is all. Very comfortable for 12-15 boilies at the range you're after mate

I screwed my shoulder big time a few years ago on a French trip. 40 KG at 120 over the course of a week. It took months to heal (didn't help that I put it out again climbing a tree to spot carp a month after the trip). Try using both hands mate, it helps. But also takes some getting used to.

I think if I can get to 60+ yards, I'm pretty sorted tbh, there's only one or two swims that I think you need 80+ yards to fish effectively, it would be nice if I could, but I can use the stick if needs be for those, it just canes my shoulder, if I can get a few extra yards out the groundbait caty then that will help hopefully it will arrive soon so I can give it a try πŸ˜‰ I've booked Thursday off work next week so I may do a couple of pre bait trials beforehand to see how far I can get them to fly πŸ™„ I think adding something really non slip to the pouch may help too, something like a bit of knotted paracord to help get you maximum stretch, without the chance of slipping,

Hate to say it Elmo but imo this is just not going to happenπŸ˜” If you're hitting 50 yards with a catty you're already doing pretty well imo mate. I have the Atomic jobby and I can't get past 50ish. I have seen guys going up to 60/70 with a catty so I guess it's possible. Put some practise in with the stick buddy. Like me you tend to do shorter sessions. Spodding on their heads can kill these short sessions before they've begun. The stick is an invaluable tool imo.

  10. Looking at the description posted on here its protein profile will come from Pea Protein Isolate (PP and is used in the aquatic industry as a fishmeal replacement) combined with the refined milks which when used in combination (acid & rennet caesin produce a good profile when combined maybe even in conjunction with wpc80), the yeast willmore than likely be Brocacel (digestion aid) or i know some people that are utilising high Nucleotide Yeast (more solubility and amino profile). The cheese smell could be a good quality cheese powder (normally blue cheese powder) which was a in the original Grange Mix. Hope that helps.
