    Knotless Knot

when you start trying hold the hair along the side of hook shank same side you start to wind. when you tighten down the hair will turn and sit on top of shank. perfectly .

As above, but will add: make sure the knot is kept wet this will also help reduce the snagging.

when you tighten down on the knot you can see the loops start to wind round the hook shank, if you hold the hair in the opposite direction to the loops it minimizes the misalignment, baiting the hair first tends to stop most of the twist too.

Yup! Not on your own mate. 3 options that I know of 1) shrink tube it 2) line aligner 3) when you do the turns down the shank do three turns pull the hair back over those turns then continue to the amount of turns you would normally do and then let the hair drop back......no doubt if any of that is wrong the pro's will guide you slightly better than me 😂😉

Bedchairs? Don't be messing about, the Nash Indulgence is the way to go. My son had the JRC Stealth and thought it to be ok, at best. Then he sampled my aging Indulgence Mk4 and went straight to Fosters of Birmingham and bought the latest version. Loves it to bits. It's only money and you only get one spinal column.......... Ian

  11. Two birds with one stone? Take a look at the Shimano Big Baitrunner Longcasts. Perfect linelay, fast retrieve ratio, full baitrunner facility, backwind facility and will cast to the next county if you have the technique. Mine represent the best money I've invested into my fishing in years. Ian

  13. Cheers Pooter, I will go down the shop and have a play, I will likely stay with bait runners though, Im to clumsy to start messing around with drag on top of the spool!

    Bait runners vs Big pit

QD just means less turns of the spool cap from loose to locked up. It's not really necessary as you can just use a standard spool and do the same but marketing will have you think otherwise. Both my Tournament model reels had standard drag and it made zero difference. Baitrunners are separate drags that allow freespool, like as used in sea fishing multipliers. As the fish roars off with the bait you put the reel into normal mode by turning the handle or flicking the lever and away you go. Have a play in the shop to get the feel of things.

Yeah I have two riots on marker and Spods, but again not on mains always had shimano baitrunners. Just finding my way through the carp world previously a match boy . Then marriage and kids curtailed that so two years ago took up carp fishing , although bank time limited at mo
