Anybody else using this?? http://www.bobcotackle.co.uk/shop/WYCHWOOD-DPF-Line-1000m I usually use Shimano Technium Black but have just bought 3 "nearly new" reels (Daiwa Emcast 5000BR) which need re-spooling, and I don't like the line that is already on them. Thinking about giving this new DPF line a bash, it reviews well and is half the price of my usual Shimano stuff. Plus it will look quite funky 'cos the reels are all black, especially if I get purple bobbins to match. Me? Tackle tart?????

Well Smufter , DPF sales could rocket or plummet - it's all down to you . No pressure then ! . I think you at least should post a picture of your tarty set up .

Yep they did. And I blanked every time I used it. They may have well been invisible. So surely that must prove the point????

I used to fish with a guy who for a while had a two rod set up, with, wait for it.... DIFFERENT REELS! How he ever got a run with kit like that is beyond me!

good man , to the fore with help again edit "cough cough cough cough £5.99 each for a bit of plastic "i can make my own and stick them on stainless welding rods " i am a bit tight mind !!! tell me about it ! its been quite an eye opener for me ,yup started with fairy tops then slit plastic tubes and when i reached the big time got some monkey climbers , my biggest shock was the difference in the tc of rods now !!!!!!! when i started i used 1.75 conoflex blanks and 3/4 oz leads they handled everything ,now they are a bream rod tc !!!!!!!!!!! i appreciate that carp are generally bigger now, a 20 was a real good fish when i left 30 odd years back but does it really justify 3.25lb tc ? any way im going to use the methods i left way back as a starting point and see how it goes ! never been much of a follower of fashion

I broke my last one and did considerable research before opting for a slightly different approach to the Boilie launching practise, Currently building one of these bad boys although i'm doubtful it will fit on my Barra. I may have to purchase a Drennan as a back up option should this turn out to be overkill
