The oils in pellets and groundbait go rancid and can become repellant (even toxic) rather than an attractor.Ā Anything you put in your freezer, is recommended to be used within a year.Ā Quote
elmoputney Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 I've still got some particle 42 pop ups nick? Do you think they will be OK? I smell them from time to time they still smell like a tub of confidence to me š Quote
B B Posted March 16, 2021 Author Report Posted March 16, 2021 I agree Nick the baitsĀ you mention have a shelf life and to just useĀ common sense, but the tubs of pop ups hasĀ no written date who knows how long they been on the tackle shop shelf, especially now with some tackleĀ shops closed,Ā then we buy them and keep them for āyearsātaking them to the bank on hot sunny days Ā Framey IĀ think the modernĀ hook baits are more than Lures they give outĀ food signals, and itās the food signals I worry about maybe going off and us not detecting it...or it could be that Iām overthinking it lol... but Iām happy to bin them and feel confident with a new batch.
