Olives?

Has anybody ever tried using olives as a bait for carp?

As the resident greek here I can safely say I’ve never heard of them being used as a carp bait. 

No reason not to give them a try but there are plenty of better options for baits available

I would assume the stones aren't good for carp, and I would just eat them tbh 😁

I also think they may just turn to mush in water so probably wouldn't stay on the hook long, but possibly worth a try 👍

I think I could have straight hooked the  chopped pieces of olive on my focaccia quite easily , and the olive oil would leak around the " bait " ? .

Maybe TLB can give olives a try and report back ? .

Never tried olives. 

I think I would probably end up eating them, although I'm now  wondering how I would keep my feta cheese cool as that goes well with olives wrapped in a slice of proper ham...
