yonny Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 (edited) No mate. A hooklink is used to tie a rig. The rig is then attached to a lead system which can be presented on a leader. Just to confuse you further, there are different types of leader (shock leader, snag leader, leadcore/fluoro/leadless etc etc). Here is a hooklink (labelled "hooklength") presented on a leadcore leader using a helicopter lead system arrangement: Edited March 17, 2020 by yonny ..., Its-grim-up-north and B B 3 Quote

yonny Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 (edited) You'll need to use tubing instead buddy. You'll struggle to catch without a hooklink 😅 Edited March 17, 2020 by yonny ... and kevtaylor 2 Quote

montysa Posted March 18, 2020 Author Report Posted March 18, 2020 Hi Think got it the bit that is band is the bit shown as lead core. So main line to hook length would be ok. Which is the way fish at moment I use inline feeder on main line then lower poundage hook Length. Thank you for replies. kevtaylor and yonny 2 Quote
