Broken receiver

Guy my friends receiver stopped working the other day do any of you know where you can get a fox rx3 receiver either fixed of a new one as I've been looking online and can't find one only find the odd complete set.

First thought would be to contact Fox themselves

chuck the receiver in the lake and turn the alarms up to the max

Fox do spares on most things, although not particularly cheap and you need to catch them before they discontinue the item...…

Are they the ones that need a wire to connect the alarms to each other?

Try Dal Henwood (Dalectronics on FB) bud. If it can be done, he can do it.
