It comes from Sainsbury's and mine is so old the 'best before' date has long gone😉

I also use braid hooklink materials for hairs as crayfish can't cut through it as they sometimes do with dental floss.

I don't really have the crayfish problem were I fish.

So I'll have a look at sainsbury's and see if they still do it.

Cheers. :D

Back in the day the view was that the unwaxed was the best, but I've not seen any about for ages, but not too much of a problem as I stocked up when it got. Interestingly now the unwaxed is not readily available the tackle firms are saying waxed is better...yeh right, no it isn't.... but currently beggars can't choosers

It was more about the unwaxed stuff gripping pop ups better than the waxed variety when you tied them on...

I've never struggled with either I don't think buddy.

We do a supple hair braid mate. It’s brilliant for ‘tying’ baits.

You can get tons of it from Bass Pro Shops here in the states for almost nothing. Not sure how much is in a spool of it, but it's a bunch. Not crazy about the janky tube it comes in, but it is what it is.
