cobleyn
I saw a fantastic variation of one on tight lines on Friday night. Adam penning has invented a chod rig with a bottom bait. ....oh wait ....no it was just a helicopter rig.

nigewoodcock
Haha cob. I'm not using one on my current water, better options. When they are required then the following thread may help.... https://forum.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=51296 There are a few more threads on chods in the stickie section. beanz
one of the korda lads have started to use it with a short boom, im waiting to see when and who claims to have invented that. CHOD BOOM! i called , back in 2010 but it was and is just a stiff hinge. it did allow the curved hooklink to turn 360 when sitting in silk weed. carefulcarping
Never fished a chod before, prefer to use the hinged stiff rig with pop ups
salokcinnodrog
I hate the name Chod, after all, it is a SILT rig, designed for fishing over... silt The number of fish I used to lose on helicopter/silt set-ups Hookpulls, the line being rubbed away with a swivel "rolling" on the line. Far better set-ups available to fish a pop-up in my view.
