Don't think there's a "best Alarm" just various Alarms with strengths and weaknesses. I run txi's and have never experienced wet weather issues. If they get wet i always dry them out. You say them suggesting more than 1 is giving you grief ? Did they get wet once and all play up after that ?

I broke my last one and did considerable research before opting for a slightly different approach to the Boilie launching practise, Currently building one of these bad boys although i'm doubtful it will fit on my Barra. I may have to purchase a Drennan as a back up option should this turn out to be overkill

No expert but as know one has responed as yet i will. What rig are you using as that may be the starting point to address ? First thing i would want to know is the depth of the silt so i could present above the level, I know Carp like to grub around in silt but i would feel happier if it's at least somewhere near the top.

We use or should i say my customers get me to put in their motorcycle tyres "Goop Tyre Puncture Sealant Puncture Preventer" This is a liquid that is designed to prevent your tyre deflating in the event of a puncture which i could see working well with some Barra tyres with shallow tread. Its put into the tyre and sits there as a liquid until a puncture occurs in which case it plugs the hole and keeps you going.. Similar products are Slime & Ultraseal all 3 are preventers rather than trying to get you outa the poop after the tyre has deflated !

I tried them but got fed up with the length of extension cord i needed to plug em in, I use the ones that take Batteries now !

Boys i wonder if the fat boy wheel would fit as a direct replacement ? They look less likely to puncture I can post dimensions if required..
