Chipstead Lake, also known as Longford Big Lake, is an Holmesdale Angling Club water.
It's 74 acres and has depths between 3 feet and 40 feet.
It's by no means an easy water, but there are carp in there up to mid thirty and there are rumours of bigger and even unbanked fish.
It's more a mixed coarse fishery over a pure carp fishery and there are (As far as I have heard ) massive shoals of bream (As well as roach, tench, eels etc.) in there which could plague you; but if you get through them the rewards are there.
I had a walk around there a couple of years ago with a view to joining and found all of the swims to be cut into a crowded (With foliage) bank with nowhere to fit a bivvy.
If you want to do only days there then you'll be fine, but for session fishing it's not up to scratch, in my opinion.
The water is also used by the Chipstead sailing club for various water sports.
