  1. Neal if you fished Saturday night into Sunday you could pop down the Brentwood Carp Show on the Sunday . I'm sure your wife would be really impressed that you would be saving on petrol as Chelmsford to Brentwood would be a much shorter journey for you .
  2. Hello Spr Korda ( Ali Hamidi , and James ? ) did an episode there . Maybe Neal will be along later .
  3. And to think Russians have nuclear weapons !!! .
  4. But what about Baseball Bats ?
  5. Thanks for the heads up about the Fox Zig Aligner , Hutch . That's very interesting what you are saying Beanz , and like Neal I too would like to know your prefered hook pattern now . Ta .
  6. Thanks fellas A Line Aligner ? - hmm , something else for me to think about , thanks Nick . What is your opinion on Micro Barbs please NM ? . Thanks for the recommendation Neal ; I'm guessing it was easier to put a blanket ban on using any Curve Shanks at Graviers rather than single out specific manufacturers patterns .
  7. Thanks Nick . I'm glad I've kept some of my old rigs , it looks like it may be time to resurrect the rigs with tubing on ! .
  8. Thanks Hutch , that's very interesting , and hopefully will be the catalyst for some healthy debate . It certainly makes me want to give more thought to the Kamasan B175 - as recommended by Nick and Tim .
  9. Ah excellent Hutch ! . I worded my original question clumsily which meant that this thread went off at a slight - BUT very welcome ( because I learnt more stuff ) tangent . I'm very interested to read what you say about mouth damage with Krank hooks , Hutch , as when I unintentionally caught a 2lbish Tench on a barbless Krank ( sz. 10 I think ) its' mouth was full of blood when I came to unhook it . I haven't had another incident like that again , and I wonder if like some of the published rigs and hooks Kranks are more aimed at bigger Carp ? .
  10. Never mind Tim , just like West Ham you tried your best .
  11. Thanks Hutch
  12. Thanks Nick .
  13. It would be a Sz. 8 Korda Krank Chod or a Sz. 8 Korda Chod , Snoozer . I thought the eye of the hook needed to be out turned Tim and Nick ? . Thanks for the answers .
  14. Hi Fellas Has anyone any thoughts about which is the best hook to use for a Pop Up pls. ? Ta
  15. Thanks Jonezy and Jimmboy .
  16. Well Spr I missed the point - literally ! . 0.5kg not 5kg , good job I'm not an Engineer .
  17. Hi Spr I thought the Pebble still had the 5kg. line running through it ? . I guess I'll just have to wait for Gagna. to explain it in Noddy language to me .
  18. Thanks Gagna. So the pva melts after casting , and the line running through the pebble has enough strength to give the bolt rig effect , but it will snap if the pebble gets snagged on something ? . I guess the Pebbles are really smooth to prevent chafing on the braid hook link . I wonder how expensive a Stone Tumbler would be , or maybe a matt varnish - maybe a yacht varnish ? . I don't know how you feel about " dropping the lead " if a Carp shakes its' head so it can't use the leads' weight to help eject the hook ? ; I guess after you've lovingly made your Pebbles you'd be loath to dump them on the river bed every time you hooked a Carp ? .
  19. Well jolly well stay sober Gagnaccarp , your public needs to know this stuff ! .
  20. Cheers Nick .
  21. Thanks Nick . If you are still online I know you use a lot of Kryston products , have you used the Jackel yet please ? . Ta .
  22. So how do Honey and Tarquin get on ? .
  23. Hi NM That's unusual Honey doesn't bark when there's a knock at the front door . The times I've pressed someones' doorbell , I haven't heard it ring , so then I'll knock on their door just to make sure , and a dog barks . A barking dog , better than a doorbell any day ! .
  24. Hi NM Yes I saw the thread title and thought " oh no, what's the bitch done now to our gallant hero ? " . I only know as a Postman I hate little Jack Russell's , snappy , bitey little things , but a lovely Golden Lab. , you'd be hard pressed to find a nasty one . Trouble is I can't help you with your problem , I think Nick is a dog man , and I'm fairly confident that when others get home from work they will be able to help you . Keep ducking and bobbing , and get your jab going .
  25. Thanks Adam , that's given me stuff to think about .
