  1. The misses just walked in "oh god it really stinks in here, you've used my best tea towel and my cooling rack it really stinks " Then I added the robin red liquid I couldn't resist " Will that come off of your hand " "Probably not " 😁
  2. I worked it pretty hard and rested it for a bit, funnily enough even if the sausages collapsed it would still roll individually quite nicely once I cut it into boilie sized pieces, work in progress still I think maybe it was a 6 egg mix, as it was mainly powdered flavours and additives I used, I am going to add a little robin red liquid to the bag in the morning that will boost them right up I think, quick tidy up then make a couple of rigs
  3. Taking a while haven't got a sausage gun and notes were possibly needs 6 eggs rather than 5 or some extra oil bit dry sausages keep collapsing makes a nice ball though I've been hand rolling glad I only did a small mix now, but actually quite happy and weirdly confident that it might be quite a nice little bait,
  4. How much bait do you think I'll need I've only got 1 boilie made so far ? 😀
  5. No worries nick I am going it alone this time, I am going to start making a few of my own creations and see where that leads, I have got a couple of packs of haiths basemixes to try this weekend
  6. I've just worked out it's been over 10 years, you mean jim Shelley btw ? 😉 I think he was on Nash bait last I remember,
  7. I thought I would see what's changed since I last angled, I've noticed sponsored lakes are on the up round my way there are Nash lakes and a korda embryo lake, neither really appeal I have to say lots less club waters and more syndicated waters all over the place All the videos I've watched everyone seems to use 2 poles stuck in the ground and casts out in wraps these days not feet or yards ? Bait fashion seems to be krill based or coconut ? Pop ups are still bright , goo was a thing I believe , I just bought a camo bucket will I be slaughtered for it eeek, it does seem like nothing and everything has changed since I was last fishing, but one thing I did notice was you don't get a lot with £50 in a tackle shop these days 😬
  8. I'm hoping too Nick good to see your still around,I had a look online and couldn't find it, has the bait and feed co closed down ? Gonna have to make my own p42 I reckon
  9. I'm hoping It shouldn't be too bad I am fishing a 3 acre lake so I shouldn't need to cast too far and my plan is to have 1 rod on a spot and the other free to chuck wherever, so the odd miscast won't hurt
  10. Hi guys thanks for the luck I shall probably need it haven't cast in years, Probably be a few trees swearing at me by the end of the day 🙄
  11. Hi everyone Not sure if anybody will remember me but I used to be a member years ago, I've been getting the old fishing bug back for a while, and while lots has changed I am older, greyer and nearly bald and married with childrens, I now feel it's time for a return to fishing, I used to love a long session on the bank that seems to be a distant dream, I think an overnighter may be a rare thing but I am hoping to nick the odd short session here and there, I'm going for the first time in a good few years tomorrow and I am buzzing , Anyway hope to be able to join in here and see what's changed in my absense, I am gonna knock up some bait tonight in preparation for tomorrow while the misses is out shhhhhh

  16. bit of a shame you cant get out there mate im the same i gotta work all this week but ill be going down there for a few days after that so i cant complain really i will give those hooks a go i think ill just be extra careful at casting with them theres a lot of trees around there
  17. hello coops hows tricks i must admit the more i think about them the more they sound really good i may give them a go i thought about the difference between a cheap drill bit and a good one the good ones always last a hell of a lot longer and stay a lot sharper so i guess its the same thing with these hooks and the cost might work itself out if they last 3 times longer than a normal hook
  18. cheers mick only 99p a hook now sounds a bargain although they do sound really good:D
  19. i had 2 hook pulls on widegape b's last week gutted but it happens i guess although i never had it with the micro barbed ones i re read the rules and i am allowed to use whisker barb which to me translates to micro barb :D is that the same thing i have used owners before in barbed and they were good and im gonna be trying a few that you have suggested although if i can it will now be microbarbed just a confidence thing i spose:D
