  1. Yep, didn't look at the replies, both posts had one in so just deleted one at random.
  2. Oh, I ain't afraid of no goats either. Well, except maybe billy the kid!!! Lol
  3. Ian, next time your at merrington, ask luke to tell you about the strange goings on at one of his syndicate lakes.
  4. Not a p - it was an f. Folly foot fishery. There is also burton springs, summerhayes and a few others close by.
  5. Just get a ticket for bac. You can then fish on combwich which is very close to bridgy. It's got some crackers in there as well. There's a couple of day tickets up the Taunton road, can't remember the name now. Just google carp in bridgwater and I'm sure you'll find it. Began with a p I think.
  6. Cheers moose. A bit late though! Lol http://www.carp.com/topic/19925-churn-pool-august-2014/
  7. As a few of you are aware, a couple of us will be on Churn pool at the weekend. The place is infested with cray fish and as I'm sat at home tying up the rig I feel will combat them, I was wondering what the rest of you would do. I want to fish a bottom bait, which will be meshed and hardened. It's more the actual rig that I'm talking about. So that's the only constraint, a bottom bait rig. What would you want it to do? How would you like it to behave? What characteristics would you want in the rig? I have taken pictures of what I have decided on and will post up either before I leave or when I get back. I will expand on why I tied it and why I used the materials I did when I post up the pics. Fire away.......
  8. There's some massive perch in there! Stick to the worms and target them - that's what I would be doing on there!! No bream in there from what I know, but he has stocked chub into it????? Big perch, big perch, big perch!!!!!!!
  9. Richard, what was the line you told me about that is in place of the synergy? Can't remember for the life of me which one you said? Was it Hydro Tuff?????
  10. They were used in the first season of game of thrones for the wolfs. Second season onwards is all computer.
  11. I think my next dog may be a Northern Inuit Andy. Closest thing we can get to them! My mate sian got one a few years ago. Had great fun traveling the country visiting the breeders with her.
  12. I have deleted a post on here for swearing. I would normally just edit them, but I had no idea what the post was trying to say, even with the swear words in it??????
  13. Oh, the rivers in Somerset have a bit of mystery about them. The Axe, and drains on the levels would be a good bet. I know of some monsters that have been out of them.
  14. I moved down to Somerset from Shropshire, and the meres, back in early 2000's. I'm now back up here. I was a member of South Cerney and it has a lake on there that I wish I could have spent more time on. Massive and, for the best part, an unknown stock. Very similar to Bradleys before they lost it off the ticket and it got stocked with thousands of stock. Huntstrete is a nice lake to spend time on. Check out Useph's posts in the blog section. You could even venture down to Bridgwater and join the local club. They have a lake at coombwich that might suit you. If it were me though, I would get a ticket for Horseshoe and get my name down on Farriers.
  15. I'm sorry. the only thing I know about this lake is that it is in Newton. I think there is a video on youtube or a tackle companies site? Not sure where I have seen it to be honest. I have a feeling that it is more of a pleasure angling type pool.
  16. Head to total angling in Shrewsbury. Dean and the guys will put you right.
  17. There's a good day ticket stretch just outside Shrewsbury. 1 min from the A5.
  18. Ignore that - just seen your location. Have you thought about Merrington - or Blackthorn. The latter is very quiet as only a handfull are alowed on at a time. It's in a very secluded location as well.
  19. Oh, fishing there was the reason I went onto the b5. Just a heads up!
  20. I did a bit on there with Nicksingleton, a member on here. He had a lot more time on there than me and I moved back up here before I got to the bottom of the place. There always used to be a number on the gate but not sure who controls it now. Maybe a pm to NIck might unearth a bit more info for you. You can always ask in Somerset angling.
  21. Same amount if metal as the hinged stiff rig you describe!
  22. I see a lot more pressing issues when I do venture onto day ticket waters. Things like people satnding up with fish is a regular one.
