  5. Never fished there but you will probably find most of the fish come to one bait i.e. the bait they feed the fish on with that in mind i would then fish something totally different , bright yellows or reds ,very bright very smelly the Richworth ones are great . This lake is very pressured and in my opinion something different may just give you an edge ,i'm thinking one fish and you should leave happy .
  6. Cemex Yateley Yes Syndicate water , many of the fish transferred from the Blue Pool ,from what i can tell a rather hard water.
  7. Never fished it but its one of 3 waters that have produced over 1000lb of fish in a 48 hr match at some point they put in 14000 small carp , im guessing get them going and you will have fun but you will need a lot of bait
  8. Are you looking for a day ticket type water or an exclusive lake , is it just the 2 of you going or a group and finally are you going to be fishing or socialising ?

  21. Isnt it around £1100 now it may have some big fish but the fact that you have families wandering around , row boats , concerts and firework displays would stop me paying that kind of money
  22. Then i feel feel that you should go with the 18lb line ,it will give you a bit more chance in playing one of the biggies as your not used to it ,the only other thing is get your clutch set right if anything on the light side , you can always tighten it up during the fight , good luck.
  23. Can i ask whats your experiance of catching larger fish , high 20's / 30's
  24. Its something i tried after watching my normal braid rigs being picked up and spat out , i felt that the fish were very wary and feeling the rig changing to the mono resulted in 3 fish from 3 takes including a 28lb mirror , they worked on that day.
  25. If fishing where i can drop a rig in and see it i use long ( 20" ) mono rigs
