  1. I have the G2s & they haven't missed a beat. One of them even went for a quick swim. Drained the water from it & switched it on 10 minutes later. Worked a treat.
  2. You're 5 years too late I'm afraid. It used to be a beautiful little pool with carp to match. A free session couldn't tempt me back now.
  3. Shatty & golf have something in common then. They're both robbing sods
  4. You spent 205 quid to fish Shatty?
  5. As you describe that, thoughts go through my mind about pva residue clogging the top bead meaning it won't come off the leader. Therefore making this an unsafe rig Good point. If i wanted any extra attraction on a chod rig, i'd just soak the lead in feedstim or whatever.
  6. Sion farm, Hagley? You poor soul. I'll pm you tomorrow (when I have more time) with a few ideas. Welcome to the forum.
  7. I would lengthen the hair a little & lose the shrink tubing. It may pay to only make one change at a time, that way you can be sure which (if any) change makes the difference.
  8. I would agree, if not for this;
  9. Korda sinkers, providing you don't have your mainline too tight.
  10. It's closed until June 16th.
  11. I'm not sure which club (if any) owns it now, but Doddington might be worth a look.
  12. I once had a barbed hook embed itself into the palm of my hand. It was very early in the morning & there was no way i was going to hospital. So i thought i'd man up & push it through. As i pushed it through i did a little dance & almost peed myself. Not quite as manly as i'd hoped

    No Braid!

Kryston Incognito. A very soft fluro that's cheaper & better than others i've used.
  14. Townsend is good for high teens. Himley better for twenties, but not as easy as Townsend.
  15. alrite mate do u no were its based many thanks You should find the info here http://www.albrightonanglers.com/
  16. A mate of mine is in Albrighton Anglers. Mostly match type waters, with a nice stretch of the Severn.
  17. A little info here http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=51162&highlight=bluebell and the catch report to go with it http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=51245&highlight=bluebell
  18. I've not seen any trouble there, though i've heard many horror stories over the years. Plenty of lads night fish it, but i only do days.
  19. Of course there is. It's fashionable
  20. I fished the Fens (Middle pool) a few times last year. Had a few high teens & a couple of low 20s.
  21. If I can manage 48 hours like that I'll be one very happy camper More luck than judgement. I picked a spot, put out about 4 kilo of boilies (followed by my two rods) then sat back all weekend. It was years ago, long before i knew about marker rods or such. Very little skill, very lucky.
