  1. A bit more than you may wish to spend , but its very good indeed. https://poingdestres.co.uk/carp/sacks-slings-carp-care/str-flotation-safety-weigh-sling
  2. Happy days , reading what you have said it seems as though it will be a good move .
  3. 8 swims 70 members , could be difficult , without knowing how their booking system works ,you may hardly get to fish weekends . Wasnt experienced enough !!!! they may well prefer anglers from further afield as they may only fish a couple of times a year , 70 members living on the dooorstep would not work even with a rota.
  4. Just an example , Burgess Hill to Farnham is around 50 miles so an hour and a half traveling ,gets you to more 30s and 40s than you can shake a stick at with a possibility of the odd 50 , 20s to numerous to mention, http://www.farnhamanglingsociety.com/index.php Without looking it up its around £125 inc joining fee Most of their waters are Gated so are pretty secure
  5. £60 for membership then £65 for 48hrs im sure their must be club tickets offering similar for that price or a few quid more for a year within your traveling distance.
  6. and if it does work , IT WILL KILL YOU IN YOUR BIVVY ...... you will just drift off into sleep and never wake up ,due to the carbondioxide produced , but hell you know the score so try one out with a co2 sensor.
  7. For a day session i would take nothing Summer or winter , if rain was forecast then it would be the 45 inch brolly i use whilst match fishing.
  8. FORGET THE BIVVY HEATER.......... EASIEST WAY TO KILL YOURSELF Single skin bivvy or brolly willl always condensate especially if you close the dooor , a twin skin can in most instances keep the inside dry,
  9. The same company i use , with the same deals
  10. Its big ,its heavy but it wont get pulled over and it just sits their , no forcing it into the ground. Even fishing locked up ,the rod just bends, nothing moves ever. I have to short legs for the back if needed, they are high to avoid the swans
  11. My pod is a Solar Globetrotter , stainless , the footprint it has makes it solid as a rock even fishing 90 degs, i have seen nothing out their to compete with it.
  12. Although this is a one piece, and i have used it only once ,as last winter was not cold , it seems a very good warm suit. http://www.nashtackle.co.uk/products/view/zt-arctic-all-in-one-suit
  13. http://www.tacklebox.co.uk/rod-pods-and-metalware/rod-pods/solar-p1-worldwide-pod.html
  14. With a Big pit you pick the rod up hand over the spool adjust the drag start playing fish Bait runner you pick the rod up flick a switch start playing fish, this is quicker than using a Big pit.
  15. I guess Bait runners are for Noddys and us really good mega anglers use Big pits . I have Bait runners and used many years ago, then i could not imagine ever using anything else , Big pits seemed to much faffing around , i now have Big pits and have been using them for years and now could not imagine using bait runners again. They are both as good as one another and do the same job equally as well, IMO its just personal choice.
  16. You will not regret it , good luck with your negotiations
  17. I cant emphasize enough , once you have an electric barrow you can take everything all the time
  18. My mate loves Fox ,i love Delkims , buy what you can afford and try and stear away from cheap , you will plenty of stories every where that the very cheap alarm out scored the expensive one , but they are the odd exceptions quality wins through in the end.
  19. People talk about line diameters so heres Gardeners own figures GT80+ 12Ib/0.35mm = 18lb+ 15Ib / 0.40mm HydroTuff 10Ib / 0.30 12Ib / 0.35 = 18lb+ 15Ib / 0.38 20Ib / 0.40 Pro 10Ib / 0.28 12Ib / 0.30 15Ib / 0.35 = 18lb+ XM / 0.40mm I use and have used for years Berkley Big Game @ 15lbs 0.38
  20. Sorry i have not been involved in any of the above, and i would guess many others are in the same boat as me
  21. One less tonight , ......our Cat...Yow yow was put to sleep this evening , although im not a particular cat lover , she was part of the family ,i cant believe it hurts , my partner rescued her from the Pikies as a kitten around 11 years ago , thought she was brown until the vets cleaned her up and found she was grey and only a few weeks old. She went back and told them it had died
  22. Dont keep the small poles attached to the bivvy screwed on all the time , ,i understand they will rub the material away if you do, unscrew them when packing up and screw back on when starting
  23. The only time i put the front on is if the weather is coming in at me , otherwise its fine with the front off in all weathers , the carbon poles that tension the brolly makes sure rain doesnt drip in front you.
