Me and mate used to go a local pond that was pasty bashing. We used try what weird baits we could use had a few on sweets.

Tree123 reacted to yonny in Low stretch mono
Any of the pre-stretched lines have low stretch but you sacrifice abrasion resistance. If you want better abrasion resistance you can go for a semi-stretched line like Technium Black or GT-HD.
I have a mate that told me about a test he read in which Hydro Tuff came out with lower stretch than the semi-stretched lines. That really surprised me as Hydro Tuff is a full on snag line with amazing abrasion resistance. Worth checking out as that makes it a very special line indeed (it's what I use and have used since before I heard about this test). I use the .40 (20lb) and still get a banging drop so I can believe it.

18lb river fish I had on a feeder rod when i was 14-16. Still remember the feeling when it broke the surface

No idea why never thought of that. Think fox do a slow melt one anyway Quick cover of oil and groundbait should help aswell

I'll give it a go. Only get the pva to last till it hits the river beds which isn't that long at all
-

You can make any particles PVA friendly by adding salt bud.
For tigers you might be better off dusting them with groundbait instead.

like most people have said it differs from lake to lake but ill never go onto a new lake and rule either method out, even if im told its a boilie water ill still use particle and see for myself.
I haven't fished particle for a few year due to the amount of bream I was getting on my current water but I would usually fish at least 1 rod on particle.

For this runs water and in the interest of keeping cost down, use alternatives, Pigeon conditioner, Maples, Maize, Vitalin, Groats. Hemp is great, But i have done a season without using hemp and i still caught well enough.

Nah, if you're struggling for £££ you're better off buying a spod rod that will last indefinitely than you are some boilies that you chuck in the lake mate.

Tbh I'm juat after getting a few fish theese days especially on one of my lakes which is basically a runs water.
I dont have the time or money to sit there and fill it in with boikies for the bigger fish and as I've said before with the river I do a lot of prebaiting so cost is big factor.
I get what your saying about the hemp tiger combo just because I dont see people using it doesn't mean people aren't

Doesn't anyone know when the dwarf 4.5tc are due out wanna go look at them before buying. Will be using more particles soon and will need to reinvest in spod rod..

chances are some of the randoms will be the bait I use. 100% confidence mate. they also do random pop ups and wafters
-
Tree123 got a reaction from yonny in Boilie over runs
Why each to own and that but I'll give it ago. Maybr settle on half normal bait and half over runs still work out a lot cheaper for bulking the bait out makes picking a hookbait eaiser too

I think the randoms are £35 for 10kg if my memory serves me right
