  1. A couple more over the weekend, multi rigs with super sweet pop ups whacked out at showing fish being the tactic…(it’s that simple). The photo doesn’t do the scaley mirror justice, probably one of the prettiest I’ve caught…
  2. Kind words mate, and yep zigs are lethal this time of year it almost feels like cheating 😉
  3. Well I managed to open my 2022 account finally, I turned up at the lake far from optimistic that soon changed tho after about 10 mins when I noticed a fish excitedly swimming on the surface in open water and the first fish I’ve seen show since autumn. Soon after I was chucking two zigs on the spot. Three hours later and four fish had visited my net… these two being the best…
  4. They won’t see the bank to be fair, there more of an investment to pass to my little lad with the gear my dad gave to me.
  5. Thanks yonny, sexy reels I’m hoping to grab some soon.

  8. I’m confident using the SLK, quality bait.
  9. Cheers mate, same here, I love an autumn sunrise on a fresh morning. 👌
  10. @elmoputneythanks mate, and although I’m happy catching anything, I’m secretly hoping for a mirror next, there’s some lovely dark ones in the lake I’m fishing.
  11. After blanking for a night and part of the day a showing fish finally gave there location away. A quick move and half an hour later I was netting this…
  12. Chilly one this morning but a lovely sunrise.
  13. After moving on to showing fish three times and losing one in the thick weed, I finally managed to get one on the mat an hour before packing up.
  14. Lovely dark fish @elmoputney, well done mate.
  15. I managed to get a signed copy a few months ago when he reprinted it… quality read.
  16. Lovely looking fish mate, well done
  17. My preferred hooklink is esp tungsten loaded in semi stiff, it’s on the supple side for a semi stiff which I prefer. I also like Gardner ultra skin in stiff if the bottom is clean enough for me to use it
