April last year, myself n a mate built a small camp/hand sized fire to warm out hands....bivvys stunk for a bout 2 week after.

Not a new purchase for me but my mate got his future son Inlaw a hot water bottle for a trip this weekend Sadly he didn’t do the stopper up enough and woke up in the early hrs with a wet sleeping bag 😳 ended up sleeping with a black plastic bag around legs and feet1 point

I have a centrepin, shooting jacket and flat cap, is that close enough? We had a clean up of dead branches and brambles around the lake and estate, and 2 bonfires were built. One was around 200metres from my bivvy, I smelt of wood smoke for 5 days.1 point -
Not a Purchase....I won a 5kg DNA Bundle earlier in year....a gave my uncle to start him off, found out today he hasn't used it, so (was only fair) I got it back 😁😁

I’ve got great faith in maggots when it’s cold, I’ve been very lucky with my autumn/winter captures whilst using maggots in the past, so I’ll keep them in mind once the water temps drop.
