It’s nothing special, we’ll it is to me , but it’s an old Ron Thompson Avon rod with Feeder attachments etc . I use it ( obviously) for feeder fishing , surface work and float fishing for whatever comes along . Dunno how much it cost at the time , it wasn’t expensive, but it’s a proper Jack of all trades and I love it . Used it recently with my well old Mitchell 320 reel and landed everything from small silvers through to upper double Carp . A great tool and goes to show that you don’t need to spend fortunes on all these specialist rods to enjoy a days fishing.

If you want to make that claim you should don't forget it's a payment to keep you with some sort of active lifestyle and not because a person is fully immobile which is what a lot of people think. My Mrs gets it and DLA before the swap over she has had lifelong hypermobility gets to be a real problem with the most basic of tasks once you get past 40 or so.

Time to bring back an old thread for the first pike trip of the season. Started the day with a 12lb pike on a whole ledgered herring. As it wriggled while I unhooked it, the barbless treble caught my middle finger, so snipped the trace to unhook the pike and my finger.
