  1. Pimped my old match platform for the trip and turned it into a 3 wheeler so I can load everything for 1 trip

  2. Been getting my toys ready for Tuesday's trip.. Being quite OCD, I try not to leave anything to chance, but I really need to try and take less gear... got all the tackle ready, just bait and food to go... brekky and daytime snacks to buy, takeaway of an evening, couple of beers... Anyone else like me...? 4 kitchen sinks and the world and his dog just for 2 nights...?🤣

  3. This was a 12hr day session, 1st light until dark.... Bivvy with no front for day, Bedchair (to chill, me n Dog), Food Bag, Tackle Bag, Bait Bag, Dogs food n water bowls, Barrow. This is practically what I take for 24hrs+, just bit more food. Sooner have too much than not enough.

    bivvy material

never mind the material seem to all be different grades of polyester the more expensive are thicker with a diagonal stitch in the weave offers better air exchange, just when you think you have found one there is always a niggle, i'm not a big chap by any means but 130 cm headroom is just not for me, so that counts out a the typhoon and storm, the tempest would need to be the XL version which is a bit pricey for 210d and extra for a door. hmm... Looked at some of the advanta they do a nice tall one with the extra skin but it's 300 which is a lot for what could be a lemon plus they seem to be a frame wrestler going by reviews, i do like the two rib style had one of the early pop ups years back not bad can't remember the brand it was just before pram hoods came out, put it up by standing on a line and shoving up the brolly type mech. same for the jrc peak and wrap it's near the same price as the ASX by sonik which seems best value but if i can i think it will be one from prologic. but that could change 😆

  5. I did a 3 night social on Bluebell's Swan last week - unfortunately a blank for both of us on the back of the wind although we were on fish for the first day or so and pretty close throughout tbh. A great trip, good company and I learnt plenty - a few did come out to guys opposite one another so I now know the winter-early spring feeding zone 👍 One swim mapped many more to go. Got the bit between my teeth now - time to push on! 👍
