Any of the pre-stretched lines have low stretch but you sacrifice abrasion resistance. If you want better abrasion resistance you can go for a semi-stretched line like Technium Black or GT-HD. I have a mate that told me about a test he read in which Hydro Tuff came out with lower stretch than the semi-stretched lines. That really surprised me as Hydro Tuff is a full on snag line with amazing abrasion resistance. Worth checking out as that makes it a very special line indeed (it's what I use and have used since before I heard about this test). I use the .40 (20lb) and still get a banging drop so I can believe it.

    bait boat

I used a cheaper one than that in France two years ago Dayvid and it did the job. It's still going strong in the hands of its new owner. I wouldn't have used it over here though as I'd have been laughed off of the lake, but on a lake exclusive in France??? ...................Didn't care 😉

  5. I loved doing a weekend trip. Take my time, relax, power nap during the day. Then children came along. Weekends are now a never ending stream of sports clubs, swimming and entertaining. I wouldn’t change it for the world! But I had to alter my fishing to suit. I do a mid week over night and maybe 1 or 2 36 hour trips. Keeps the kids happy, the wife enjoys the peace on a Wednesday and because I put more thought and care into that short session my catch rates have improved. when the kids are older and less dependent on me I’d love a trip to France. A week of fishing must be blooming lovely!
