I use citronella tealights, but they make my nose run like a tap. Best spray is jungle formula extreme, not too badly prices on ebay. Works for me in the most part. but they do just find the little bit you've missed (i.e your face) I take disposable gloves with me to make sure I spread it on my face without the possibility of tainting end tackle. I also do the same for suntan lotion, but then maybe they'd like a bit of Hawaiian tropic!

Swans are fairly easy to deal with, anything over 6ft deep is too deep, tufties are a nightmare as they can dive down very deep and coots are a major problem as their showing their young how to dive for food at the moment. Anywhere shallower than 4ft is going to be a problem for you. Like I say, fish out in open water during the day then if the margins do produce as you say I'd fish them at night.

I think that when a Carp pops its head and shoulders out it is simply looking to see what my set up is. Most of the time I envisage a small shoal of carp sitting just under the water laughing their fins off....

Too true. But then Sweden are always difficult for England too...no Ibra but still could cause problems! That's if they beat Switzerland!

any updates on this BC? I've hijacked your idea as a solution for a problem at work but on a grand scale. Drain pipe with chain running through it as a floating boom!

I was working in the US last week and was sitting next to a German fella in a meeting when their match was on. I was digging him with my elbow and showing him the scores on my phone under the table. He must have loved me🤣🤣🤣

In my experience, if tufties, swans or coots are a problem don't bait or fish until night fall, it's the only guaranteed way of not getting picked up. Coots and tufties normally drop a rig but swans are a pain. A few times I've just stuck in bait and just left the birds to feed during the day only for them to return at night to have another go. It's like they've ear marked the spot. The situation is only exaggerated close in, so, I wouldn't bait or fish until nightfall.

I'm a caretaker and maintenance man at a bar, never buy sunglasses (or gloves) again.

The same Panama who drew 1-1 with Wales not long ago and who kept Belgium out for nearly an hour. They aren't that good but seeing england win 6-1 at a tournament is good enough for me.
