    gear wish list.

ok peeps, my intention on using this blog as a place to create my wish list was boosted by an attempt to clear out my tackle bags, it was while emptying the first bag that i realized just how bad a condition some of my stuff had gotten into. my rod pod was so worn that it falls apart when it is picked up (how did i not notice this?) my lead bag is almost empty, i dont own a lead bag, my scales are knacked, my rod bag is holey and the list goes on and on and etc it is with this in mind that i have been prompted to start a list of gear needed and wanted in the hopes that the hairy boss will stumble across it whilst stalking me  so here we go. 1/ rod pod & bank sticks as i believe they both have a place and time. 2/ 5 rod quiver 3/ comfy chair 4/ two man bivvy (as its a wish list lol) 5/ lead bag 6/ bobbins/indicators/swingers 7/ air dry bag 8/ carp cradle (must hold water) 9/ landing net c/w 2mtr rigid handle 10/ i will get back to that one please feel free to offer suggestions on all the above, im not tight but a bit of a budget as i dont believe in paying for the sake of brand names.

  3. My preferred go to pattern is Fox SSBP, but I find they work best with a kicker. I wanted to try a simplify things and all the talk of the krank seemed worth a go, also I used to really like Carp R us off set nailers, I just cant cant them at my local these days. so I got pack of kranks. I wouldn't be put off using kranks if they've been working for you, I think my problems were probably due to needing a few tweaks with the hair but as I didn't want to waste time tweaking or risk losing one next I went back to what Im confident in. I agree hutch, the twisting was most likely during the fight though I don't think the point ever buried down more like due to the offset point it went through like a safety pin, then as it flipped over side to side during the scrap pierced again etc to create the nipple effect.

  4. I would think maybe plugging with something bio - degradable and natural that would take on liquid attractors. Something like cork or another porous wood. It should over time decompose and I wouldn't think it would be damaging to the environment. although I'm not an expert. Another suggestion would be to fill it with boilie paste or maybe Belachan block, cut and squeezed in to fill it. Both would I imagine gradually break down. If you want it the attraction to last maybe add the porous material into the bottom 15mm and the remainder fill with your other mix.
