Ha ha Facebook always knows. As if anyone is that accurate 😳 -
Here's a type of horse race you may not have seen before - this isn't Ascot or the Kentucky Derby, it's Indian Relay, and saddles would just slow them down. If it works in the UK, the tiktok video puts you in the driver's seat. https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSHGNVAdCr3NH-056Pm/

I have a telescopic version that I can use to drop baits in over a marginal shelf or in between trees and branches

Little update on this fox 8ft thing, I haven't really used it for its intended purpose yet as I haven't really done much mass baiting other than with an x spod. However a couple of times like this morning it has proven very handy as an 8ft landing net handle. It was really weedy and the water level has dropped so the extra 2ft came in handy, I also used it when zig fishing and it helped. So if nothing else it is a great landing net handle when you need a bit more distance. -
It happens buddy. I went nearly 2 seasons on a large water just catching the odd bream. Have you got confidence in a. your spots, b. your rigs and c. Bait??? I very gone back to a rig I have every confidence in, check. Bait is good, but always changing pop up colour on the snowman. So just leaves spot, which is mainly down to watercraft & arguably a bit of luck. In the past I'd be quick to change everything, big mistake. Just small tweaks can make all the difference along with time at the water, you'll unlock the puzzle soon enough.

But then there’s wet knot strength and dry knot strength lol i just tie a knot As I have no preference I might tie a palomar grinner of blood knot never even think about it if I’m honest I don’t think you can put enough pressure on any knot to snap it unless you either tie it wrong pull it straight not using the curve of the rod Or the line is damaged.

I do have an eclectic taste in music, so this Pure Moods was playing in the car recently: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2lvb7VFQbiOq0z1NDJrfkrTDZ-hJLsMM&si=JU5fz6XXFqdkfSAO

Seems to be line strength as opposed to knot strength. Interesting though

Hi fellows, I am glad somebody responded to my post As a youngster, before the Internet, I only knew the Fisherman's Knot, so I used that. It was not a bad knot, but certainly not as well structured as some of the high-end knots available. As a young adult I switched to the Palomar Knot, this was when the Internet was just starting to become popular, so I found this new knot. I have never used the Double Palomar Knot, but I understand that it is stronger than the original Palomar Knot. Some of you may have heard about the Knot Wars videos published around 2008 to 2010 by Berkley Fishing. My understanding is the Berkley Braid Knot beat the previous years winner the Fish-N-Fool Knot in this championship video. 😱 I do agree with salokcinnodrog that testing knots with monofilament, fluorocarbon and braid may cause different results, but the top several knot contenders should remain the same regardless of line type. I am surprised that no one has done a new Knot Wars type video with different line types and knots! Seems like something someone would be interested in doing out there in Internet land ⁉️ Thank you, CZ 👾

Nice, I found I was foot tapping, got anymore ?

Different lines work best with different knots, although the Palomar is one of the most efficient. I use various knots, Rapala loop knot, Clinch/Uni knot, or half blood knot. Amnesia works best with a 3turn blood knot, although for other lines I have found 4 or 5 turns best. Gardner Pro I always do a 5 turn Clinch knot, where Sensor gets a blood knot. Braids for hooklinks get a Clinch knot, while on hooklinks where I need a loop, it is the loop knot.

A bit like American Football absolutely boring.

I bet the sceptic didn't have either. Bring back public flogging

He should be in the Hague not just fishing prison.

Palomar for me 😀

Twice through the eye grinner great knot I would say slide the knot down to the eye rather than pull it like the video

How come this politician doesn't get slapped with £1200 fine for fishing without a rod licence??? He can afford it. Them & us. Always has been

Hi fellows, Is the consensus that the Fish-N-Fool Knot is best or is just hype and there are better knots? Thanks, CZ

Finally finished watching this very long video and totally enjoyed it, felt it was very well filmed and produced and as always Terry was on top form

That was one of my bug bears on Nazeing Lagoons, leaving the gear unattended was not recommended when walking around. Having to walk Sky would not be a relaxing experience on there. At least on my current lake it is safe. I have had a phone call from my dad having a problem, reeled in, driven to his and taken him to the doctors, then gone back to the lake. I struggle with staying or moving, I probably split the two 50/50. The numbers of times I see fish move onto a spot after 48hours. "Oh, you need washed out baits", not if the fish aren't even coming onto the bait or into the area for a day at least. Taverham got like that; the Friday night bait up, and fish would avoid the spot until Sunday. Fish were obviously caught at the weekend, usually to small traps, but not so many over bait. I've had numbers of fish from baits left in place for 2 days, not even reeled in, not something I can do now obviously. If I move onto the fish I see, it's nearly always a single or a bag or stringer. No point in piling it in and potentially spooking them.
