things have changed but I’m itching to get out on the bank 😎 still unsure about bait but I’m sure it will all come to me once I’m out there 👍 tight lines my freind I hope you smash it

I'm on a break at moment, last time I was out was more than 14months ago, not a single line wet since then, I did end up selling all my Gear, but recently started to gather backup.

Bait, I think, is a personal choice AND can be an expensive 1....inuse Sticky Manilla all year through and did do before I stopped, now I've gone back to the same, but will only be doing PVA Bags close in range.

Same with rigs, there is alot of mechanical in them, only 2 rigs for myself....Ronnie Claw rig, pva bag rig....job done.

But don't think I could do the lengths of your 2's being so many years...

I am on a 3-4 year carp break so far lol

Last Time I went was when they opened after lockdown then when the angling trust said oh look what we have done to get everyone back out, I  didn’t go again.

the fish haven’t changed but the amount of stinky winky you can buy to catch one has lol

use what you had last time out with the same set up and you will still catch one.

I remember that weekend, I went all over the Northwest and I ended up just not going for a few weeks after, EVERY lake was rammed and all the Argos Angmers were out in numbers 🤣🤣

My carp fishing break is only 2months, and that is because my syndicate doesn't fish well from October, so I switch to pike and sea fishing

Hello Woodcutter .

I'm thinking that some of your original gear , and that of Whataclonker , and Jules007 might well be collectors items now ? .

As Nick said his water doesn't fish well after October so maybe when you do get back on the bank you may be just getting back into the swing of things rather than actually catching much ? .

Yes i do have some collectable tackle Mitchell reels and a lot of centre pins even some of my floats from course fishing are old vintage.

Also i agree about the lakes going quiet so my next trip out is on canal as we have some private pegs and target fish are perch,carp and Gudgeon
