Dave Hedgehog
Evening all, hope everyone’s start to the year has been a good one. Im in search of a new venue, syndicate ticket in Hampshire. I’m in the Portsmouth area and due to only fishing a work night a week I’m not looking at travelling over an hour tops really. Something challenging, scenic, full of features, low ish stock. I know, I want the moon on a stick but if you don’t ask you don’t get. Happy to get my name on a list and wait it out. Any ideas welcomed. Pm if preferred. thanks in advance.
greekskii
It would help people a bit if you named places you've previously fished otherwise you may get suggestions which are on your 'NO' list already.
Dave Hedgehog
Fair point. I don’t really have a no list. Always fished club waters. Have fished at Chichester on ivy and quite enjoyed that but believe that’s now a syndicate water? And I think there’s restrictions on how far you live from the water which would rule me out. greekskii
open to most places then, you could always give Rockford a go? Club water but well known big fish water. I only spent 3 years in Hampshire and didn't fish much apart from Peewit in Winchester and a couple of sneaky trips over to a small pond, so don't have much knowledge. A few lads fished in the New Forest area though. I believe the South Downs has some big old lakes but not sure on names. Yately isn't far? Frensham? commonly
I know there's lakeside by the airport, not fished it in 20 odd years, but should holds few gems. Also, near there, a friend told me of a place behind Eastleigh football, which I'm sure was a Syndi. Not sure if we've already covered it but Broadlands, Romsey on m27??I know they've held carp championship there a few years back. Not sure if they had KHV?? commonly
The river Test runs through Colden Common, fondly remember having a few trout on free lined bread, many years ago. Not so sure if there's otters present nowadays?? I wasn't into carp fishing back then, but there must be some amazing waters in the New Forest?? If you go to micks tackle at hayling then they may help you more regarding tickets
