  1. I could listen to that man talk about fishing all day long. His enthusiasm is infectious. Not a bad taste in music either!
  2. Managed this lovely one on Monday night. 22lb and stunning scale patterns. Caught early at 6.30ish then just one pesky tench. Lovely fish and a great nights sleep. Success for a school night!
  3. Yep that’s pretty much me in a nutshell. Not a delkim fan personally love my atts. And I do strongly believe that the sun actually does shine out of Adam Pennings [censored]. Strongly recommend his book. oh and I’m a central heating fitter so yes I rate that too. 😁
  4. Pays hundreds on stainless bank sticks but won’t buy dongle...🤣
  5. I actually think I’ve got a full fox wired set up in the garage too. I’ll have a look over the weekend.
  6. That’s a stunner mate lovely colours. It’s been a good month for you. Best looking fish I’ve seen for a while.
  7. Lucky lucky man. Hope he made the teas all day!
  8. What’s your tactic going to be? Big tin of green giant?
  9. What sort of match? Carp only? 1 rod rule?
  10. I kind of see your point but at the same time I’ve seen experienced anglers with appalling fish care. One thing on the lake I fish that really angers me is the disregard for tench and bream.
  11. A sad reflection of modern carping.
  12. I love a decent eel. Are you sure you weren’t taking pictures of the same fish from different angles?!
  13. Ah the long forgotten roll up in the mouth shot of years gone by!🤣 well done on the fish you’re hauling them in today!
  14. Lovely looking fish mate and a margin fish is always a bit more special.
  15. Also depends on the type of water you’re fishing. For me pva mesh of 3 whole and 1 halved boilie. That’s it. Most places see kilo after kilo of bait. Less is more.
  16. So a quick catch report from last night. Not a huge fan of fishing Monday nights but after a week away with the kids I was itching to get out for a quick night. My mate promised steak and vino so that swung the decision for me. I arrived a little later than I’d like at 6.30. He was already set up in a central swim and I was chatting with him for 5 minutes when his rod ripped off. Nice mid 20 common. Jammy sod. Did the pics and went off to the next swim to set up. Returned shortly afterwards for steak, spuds and garlic mushrooms (keeps the mozzies away!). Just finished dinner when his middle rod went off and a nice 33lb mirror. Had to be pleased for him as he’d cooked the dinner! Finally at 10pm that magical sound of the receiver and I was into a 30lb simmo. And then at 1.30 this morning a lovely scaley mirror of just over 29lb was landed. Great night. And will butter up my Mrs to try and squeeze in a return trip Wednesday night. Dinner pic included for the foodies..🤣
  17. Don’t get excited it’s a simmosaurus!😀
  18. Must be a good night for it. I’ve just had my first 30 of the year. Pics in the morning. Mate in the next swim has had a 30 too! Never happens to us!
  19. He’s still alive to tell the story. You didn’t do much wrong! We’ll forgive you for not doing a catch report on this occasion..😀
  20. Firstly well done. You stepped up and believe me not everybody would. I hope your mate makes a speedy and full recovery. Hopefully it’ll be one of those story’s you both can joke about in years to come. what I would say is look after yourself. Things like this can have a huge effect on you. You’ll be in a form of shock even if you feel fine. Once again we’ll done you. Respect due.
  21. That’s a cracker mate. The rudder on it!!😮
