David_Ridgers
Hi peeps Now the question today is if you fish from say 6am to 7pm one day (12 hour sesh ) would you use shelter of some kind or just stick it out in the open ? Whats your view on this Thanks tight lines dave
Gazlaaar
Brolly, I'd take it anyway, there's nothing worse than being caught out, I love my fox supa 50 inch, it's perfect for shorter sessions

phildalton1982
Er, obviously summer no showers no shelter. Autumn/spring no shelter if no showers,Winter definate shelter to keep cold wind off. Just common sense and the hope you've checked forecast before leaving the house Sent from my LG-H955 using Tapatalk David_Ridgers

Gazlaaar
Brollys are quicker to set up, open, peg, done You'd be amazed how quickly it goes up, especially when you've had a practice in the back garden. Not even a minute and it's up Edited October 12, 2016 by Gazlaaar

Ddgx
I try and leave my brolly at home or in the car as often as I can get away with now. I quite like the idea of one of those ultra portable pop-up type bivvy like the Fox easy shelter but for over a tonne I can't justify it. Seems steep for what you're actually getting. Anyone own one or similar? Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk David_Ridgers

jh92
I like to go as light as possible, but I think its down to where you're fishing..if I'm fishing a big open reservoir I'd take a brolly, but if I'm fishing a smaller lake I won't take one unless there's rain forecasted for that day David_Ridgers

dayvid
For a day session i would take nothing Summer or winter , if rain was forecast then it would be the 45 inch brolly i use whilst match fishing.
David_Ridgers
Brolly system, with removable front panel.... best of both worlds..When the clocks go back the Bivvy comes out, when the clocks go forward the brolly comes back out.... If its just a day visit in the winter then a brolly is a must for me.... those cold winds brrrrrrr........ Were you looking to buy a new one Dave? Anywhere as long as its cheap as pn a tight budget tight lines dave
