Budget unhooking mat

Recommended Posts

How much do you want to spend ,I would suggest the Shimano total protection mathttps://poingdestres.co.uk/carp/unhooking-mats/shimano-olive-protection-unhooking-mat

Around £30 mate, I think that ones out of my price range lol

I have one of these, it's the cheapest i could find that has sides. well made does the job although a bit large, that's only a problem when you loose a small fish in it. lol.

Does it take up much room or does the it squash down mate? Looks decent though I think I'll be getting it

It folds down nice and flat the inner mat comes out and folds down its centre and straps on to the front of the folded cradle body,. well worth the money compered to more pricey ones.

Great thanks mate, seriously thinking of getting one

This any use to you, all the chub stuff i own is very well made

Jh92 - I've one pretty much the same as carpbell_ll.

Sometimes budget is bad, but a lot of matts seem to be ok, one thing I'd look for is that the canvas webbing follows under the matt this will take the weight and not the seems

What ever you buy if you feel it isn't padded enough you can always get a simple £10 stalking / roll matt to put inside
