newmarket Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 2and a half sides and a garden fence one Luton fan once described, had some fun on that cricket pitch with the young ladies from the Friday discoes at the cricket club. That old County ground had character mate Quote
newmarket Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Liverpool have had Blackburn well under the cosh in the second half so far. FIngers crossed Blackburn counter and nick one (Sorry Stevo ) Mickey Mouse cup :) Quote
dalthegooner Posted March 8, 2015 Author Report Posted March 8, 2015 0-0 draw. Blackburn played really well. A very disciplined performance made it hard for Liverpool who must have had 60% + of the ball. Quote
dalthegooner Posted March 8, 2015 Author Report Posted March 8, 2015 Mickey Mouse cup  Looking forward to playing in the Johnson Paint Trophy, Tim? Quote
newmarket Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Looking forward to playing in the Johnson Paint Trophy, Tim? Yep won't be long if you know who is still there Least I'll get to have a booze with CM & Bivvy lol dalthegooner and bivvystreet 2 Quote
bivvystreet Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Seem to remember Liverpool beating Villa in the cup before,3-0 rings a bell Quote
dalthegooner Posted March 9, 2015 Author Report Posted March 9, 2015 (edited) After thebpick of the quarter finals (By far) the Mighty Goobers stride on to the semi's. It was a great game. United played better than I have seen them for a long while and we matched them ball for ball. Great semi final after the cack that was on over the weekend. And with the semifinal draw, I t looks like we'll be making Gerrard cry by beating him on his birthday Edited March 9, 2015 by dalthegooner Quote
muftyboy Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Well pleased for wellbeck, I know his stats are not the best but I like him , he has got something that a lot of players haven't , let's hope he gets a real chance as a striker. Quote
dalthegooner Posted March 9, 2015 Author Report Posted March 9, 2015 I was a little surprised when Welbeck got the nod in front of Giroud but I'm glad he got his goal. He deserved it Quote
newmarket Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 It is with great sadness that I have to announce the sacking of Sir Ian Holloway by the webbed-fingered ones from sarf london . I'd personally like to add a personal tribute for such a sterling effort and contribution in getting the club to the brink of League one . A contribution which will never be forgotten . Ian a Holloway . A true West Ham legend muftyboy 1 Quote
dalthegooner Posted March 11, 2015 Author Report Posted March 11, 2015 Well, Chelsea were rubbish and PSG deserved the win. muftyboy 1 Quote
muftyboy Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Chelsea got what they deserved, sweet fa. If they spent more time playing the game rather than just trying to ruin the game they might have got a result, glad they are out,I can now watch proper football in the next round. Quote

dalthegooner Posted March 17, 2015 Author Report Posted March 17, 2015 A spirited try by the Gooners tonight, but not good enough. We paid the price for being kack in the first leg. Big fines should be levied against all players for the ridiculously poor performance in the first leg. It's no good being unlucky in the second leg if you are no better than a League 3 side in the first leg. It;s a night of mixed emotions. Proud of the effort put in tonight, but it does not make up for such a shocking display a fortnight ago!!! Quote
dalthegooner Posted March 17, 2015 Author Report Posted March 17, 2015 Would also like to add that there were a lot of shocking decisions by the 'ref' but that doesn't detract from my previous post. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. MUST BE FINED LOADS!!!!! Quote
muftyboy Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 If arsenal players had used there brains in the 1st leg they might have gone through, after scoring in the last couple of minutes they then played like it was a knockout game and needed another goal which in turn cost them another. Tonight's result would of been enough but for that. schoolboy error ☺ Quote
newmarket Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 Anyone else think international football should be scrapped ? What a (I know this naughty word is banned but I decided to use it any way because I can't control myself)ing boring weekend ! Quote
dalthegooner Posted March 29, 2015 Author Report Posted March 29, 2015 And have no World Cup or European Cup. No chance; I'll take a few weekends with no footy anytime snowmanstevo 1 Quote
ianain Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 They might play like hot dogs, but they try sometimes Quote
snowmanstevo Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 My dislike and critasism of the England team is in black and white on a LOT of earlier footy threads .... But they do have there place for the lower league supporters but my views are still the same .... My lifetime the best England side by a country mile Italia 90 ..... Euro 96 we had a real chance, and the buzz around the country was ace..... Prob is we're just not as good as we think we are Quote
muftyboy Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 I think it looks quite promising, we now have young players with genuine pace and for the 1st time in years players that can take on the opposition and they have a few tricks in there locker. at the end of the day you can't chose the colours you support, your born into it. snowmanstevo 1 Quote
snowmanstevo Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 I was 1 Steve so can't comment ..... That Bobby Robson side really did have the beating of anyone ... Quote

snowmanstevo Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 See that's the thing Mufty.... Do we keep our integrity and fail miserablely or do we just cheat like the others .... Glenn Hoodle told the players in France 98 that if your touched you go down no matter where you are Quote
