These are overweighted. Found better results when fishing over clear enough bottoms. Slow sinking is a preference when using balanced baits or standard braid multi rigs. Those beads look good for beating the Crays. A shot on the tag end is another style of this rig. Could that avoid their attentions? Or even wire stripped from some leadcore?

I will only use the multi rig. Great rig. Yours looks good. I mould the putty around the knot but that's personal preference. I also use a stiff material for the pop up section. Hope the pic works. Been deadly for me. Had many a fish over the last few years on the multi.

I'm sure I read somewhere that above 1030mb is classed as extreme high pressure, however it seems to be a regular occurrence the last few years... Higher pressure does tend to mean the fish are higher up the water column, the sunshine and clear skies associated with a high pressure system help as the water will warm up quicker. Fish tend to be off the feed during the day due to higher pressure but having said that I have caught fish off the deck in high pressure systems during the daytime. Zigs or fishing in the shallow water should see you right though.

Another thumbs up for the Bulim T4. Had mine for £35 delivered within 4 days from Australia. Proper solid bit of kit and could easily boil up a 20L stock pot on it in not too long. Kicks out some serious flame. Almost identical to some carp brand stoves which are £60-70 with carp tax.

sorry I couldnt resist. I did a netting on there whilst studying, one spot was between the house and the island, the SW corner of the lake and we had all of the big fish and most of the stock in the net. This was early Feb though so defo a winter holding spot. May be of zero help but worth a look.

I think the BT swim produces quickest but the Sky swim isn't far behind it. The fishing is slower the more are on the lake from experience.

It is downright invisible, even in clear water. But im not looking from underneath/alongside it am I! Knot strength is great, beds down very well too. Not used it much, still have my fox submerge leaders at the moment but new ticket later this year has a leadcore ban (assuming it means leadfree leaders too) so will get more use soon.

Good job. Nice to see some DIY equipment. If you back to back two rake heads and cable tie them with the metal ties you get a big rake, maybe too effective as you may need a whole army to pull it out depending on how weedy the place is!!

Luck of the draw but shouldn't be that way when you pay that much for them. If it was only one or two then obviously there will be manufacturing defects, however there are too many of the same complaints.

I've got the older version of the TXI pluses and they've been fine for me (got them second hand too) in all conditions. Only sent one back because the Y bar was slightly damaged after fishing locked up to snags and a violent take, receiver went back because I damaged the battery connector when putting a new one in. Seem to be much better quality than the newer version

I used to use it all the time on simple knotless knot rigs. Don't have a need now I use multi rigs for 90% of my fishing. Have found it useful if I run out of anti-tangle sleeves or want to extend a loop to stop it tangling. I use it over any leader knots or when joining stiff materials and braid for the stiff multi rig just for added protection on the knot and for something for the putty to grip
