  1. Hi Lardy, Thanks for that. Going there for a few days next week. Any advice from your experience? Thanks.
  2. Hi guys. Me and the family are looking to go camping at 1/2 term and are looking for suggestions. Obviously I'm looking for some carp fishing. Somewhere nice and peaceful with nice views that allows night fishing. [emoji6] We have a large bungalow style tent. Flat, level pitches are almost essential. We would like electric hookup if possible. The Mrs wants decent toilets/showers (definitely not chemical loos). Somewhere to keep the kids amused (preferably not arcade games) would also be good. I've seen fir tree farm in warmington online. Has anyone been there before/ know what the fishing is like?
  3. Hi guys. I'm looking for your thoughts on either the trakker or advanta power stove(angling direct). They're made by a Chinese company called Fire Maple and are a re-branded FMS-100T. They can also be known as the King Kong. These guys also make the trakker and fox kettles and some of their pots and pans. You can't get their stuff in the UK without shipping from China or HK. I've seen one in a shop and it had a loose pan support is this normal or should they all be rigid once the feet are extended?
  4. Hi guys. I've found myself in Ringwood for a few days. Has anyone got any advice on Somerly Lakes? I'm hoping to fish the main lake in the next day or 2.
  5. Hi guys. I'm planning on go tomorrow. I can't decide between Bury Hill, Furnace Lakes or Twynersh. I'm open to other suggestions, but I'll be going for the day and I'm after somewhere that's open till dusk. Which would you reccomend?
  6. Try Sumners Ponds Fishery & Campsite in Sussex. They have premium lakeside pitches. 2 grass and 9 hard standing. It looks like they even have electric hookups.
  7. Worked it out. Previously had the old router in transparent mode. Had a firewall behind that and a separate wireless access point with directional antennas, always kept angled to cover the correct parts of the house. Due to the location of my router, I had to turn off the internal WiFi on the new router and reinstate the access point. The inbuilt antenna wasn't up to the task the directional ones were.
  8. Just ran a search for this online. It's available on 4OD for those who can stream. The pain is that I've just been migrated to Sky from Be and it keeps pausing. Never had this problem before. Time to change I think.
  9. I've been using these since I came across them whilst talking to the owner of one of my local tackle shops. He'd only just got them in and weren't even on the shelf. Having previously used the Fox range and was starting to get disillusioned with them, I can say I'm very impressed. I think every one I've taken out of the packaging has been needle sharp. Last year I caught a 33lb fish on one of them and the hook was fine afterwards.
