  1. Um, not what it's know as 'ere Sorry to be so cryptic , but what the tanks call the backside, is another name for it in these here parts. No, but one walked up my trouser leg and stung me.
  2. Cheers, I like full cork and have been looking at the Wychwood ones, but they have 50mm butts and if anyone round here hears witch wood, there'll be trouble.
  3. Are they the ones with full cork handles that you posted a picture of?
  4. Spinach?

  6. Maggots can come to you quite greasy or just plain damp from the fridge, so it often depends when you get them with regards to their life-cycle and also what processing the shop has done to them. I've always found maize (and turmeric powder) can help to soften them which helps when hooking them. I agree, however saw-dust can clog up as well; they may need to be riddled often depending on how warm they are as they tend to sweat the more they wriggle about / the hotter they are. As above, some anglers add things to their maggots and some don't (I do), it's really up to you - I will add caution to liquid additives though, only add liquids if you are going to freeze them in a sealed bag ... maggots spend their whole life wriggling, the liquids allow them to stick to the sides of anything, they can even crawl through the tiny pin-holes in a bait box lid. So long as they are fresh (dry) don't put a lid on them as they can sweat - even if you store them in the fridge, they will be safe since they won't wriggle about much, keep them in the lowest section - once the other half gets used to it they will be fine with it.
  7. I just knew it Phil, the truth will out
  8. Apart from that it's the same one Sorry, I've used all of my coats up I'll go back to being quiet
  9. I wouldn't bother snooze, the title is misleading and it does not explain anything on the mechanics of rigs. It's certainly not worth a tenner - 128 pages in A5 (ish) size; it starts on page 6 and has 12 full page adverts. I think that it's just a compilation of magazine articles; from angling publications; as they contain major product placement and seem to be missing a punctuation mark or 2, spelling / grammar mistake and the annoying things you find in such bits of paper cobbled and stapled together. I did like the cover though. You can have my copy.
  10. Try here,
  11. Dare I suggest moulding it on the hook , this time of year it should last quite well and still pull through easily. It's not cray proof though
  12. Anyone got the number for the RSPCC?
  13. When mapping using one of these, do you then have a lead about to find the type of bottom you want as well?
  14. Think I live in the Cherwell Valley since it runs through our fair village near its source
  15. It was on CC Moores site, but seems to have been removed from all over. Not sure what went on
  16. This might be worth reading Esmin
  17. Yes you can; although it is time consuming; you can also use the sweetcorn blitzed as your liquid and use powdered egg but it's expensive though. Kindred spirit, I'm liking the thought processes going on there Andy, keep them coming :flags:
  18. Nice to know: Is this regarding the Xplode? I thought that was one of the complaints of using the spomb? (I haven't had a problem with the spomb doing that - only got the small one though - although it is fiddly loading it with wet small particles [should use my hands I suppose ])
  19. Nice fish too Phil, on the old pink pop-ups?
