Sounds a bit obtuse to me

    zig rigs

Say you're fishing in 12' of water, you want to fish a zig mid water, length of mono 6' long hair rig tight to hook with a pop up or bit of foam or whatever floats...straight to a leadclip or whatever set up you prefer...or buy one of the adjustable set ups good I guess as you can keep altering the depth without changing hooklength
  14. Only one type of mallet...mahoosive of course!!
  15. Mallet...
  16. I'm fairly sure that the very first question I asked on this forum was about using a syringe to help in popping up lobworms. I've forgotten what the replies were. Where do I buy a suitable syringe, please? Ian You can get them in the predator section Ian, I got some myself recently
  17. http://www.avidcarp.com/AVA-20_Item These are the ones I've got, available in two weights, the beads are tungsten I think, do the job for me. I fish chods directly on the mainline. Hope it helps.
  18. I used the avid naked chod beads a couple of weeks ago, before all this snow, and they work a treat with a pop up, well balanced and don't slip on the line when wet, worth a look at
  19. Good plan!!
  20. Get some tungsten putty...its like plasticine but weighs a lot...you can mold little blobs around your hooklink then it sinks!!
  21. You don't need to use leadcore to fish a chod...fish it straight off your mainline...was using avid chod beads but didn't like them as they kept slipping on 15lb GR60 now using solar unleaded leaders or, thaks to Dougmoon for showing me this one at Sandhurst, korda sinker with bead over chod and another sinker with bead job done hope this helps
  22. Another vote for muggas...
  23. NIcely done Matt…still grinning I bet!
  24. A tic-tac...you can get them in mint, lime or orange, very effective but a bit tricky to mount on the hair as they are difficult to get a baiting needle through...I suppose you could tie them on with floss... Here you go Grim.. http://www.avidcarp.com/AVZL-10BY_Item
  25. Gardner Muggas for me too in all sizes, they go in on the occasions I manage to catch!
