    Crimps

i have used the wychwood crimps and when i used them with some of the coated braids they have slipped so i thought i should let you know, and i pulled the rigs before casting them out,and they seemed perfectly fine.but i have had no trouble with mono
  2. i tend to use 2-4" rigs when fishing over particle,as the fish aren't moving much to get there next mouthfull and on a hard clean bottom ,and longer rigs when fishing over a spread of boilies on silt or weed

    360 rig

gazmeesh, just gone through your post,am pretty shocked, but like i say i never experienced anything like that ,but then i was using the rig on a"big fish water"...tel90 if your fishing for smaller fish and this sort of damage can be done then better leave well alone

    360 rig

its a totally safe rig to use mate, used to use it myself, had some proper carp on it aswell ,i would say that 95% of the fish i caught on it were hooked at least 2 inches back in the bottom of the mouth and bang centre, also don't think the man that invented it would have used it if it was dangerous to the fish seeing he's in the public eye alot(dave lane)
  5. fishing book-micky grays "a merry olde dance" he tells it how it is,it puts a smile on your face and also brings a tear to your eye ,brilliant.non fishing book is lance armtsrong's (pro' cyclist) auto-biography,if you need inspiration then this is the book, what he goes through and comes through beggars belief, awesome read
  6. have only ever used it in boilie mixes,if it has not been used on your water then you'd better get some spare batterys for your alarms,i was fortunate enough to be one of the first to use it on my old water and my god the runs just kept coming.have only ever used it at 1oz per lb of base mix, though i have seen it recommended at 2oz per lb.i once put a piece into my pond which holds around 7 carp and they wouldn't go near the stuff,so i would say you can over do it.though when i put my bait containing it in they can't get enough of it.another point i would recommend is to always use belechan in its block form,a friend of mine used the paste version once and his catch rates plummeted, once back on the solid block his catch rates went back up.the way i get it into my boilie mixes is to put it in a blender along with my eggs,it blitz's it lovely
  7. don't want to burst your bubble but have heard of/seen this rig on a number of occasions in several magazines.it has also been tied with carp r us centurions, nash fangs and several other curved shanked hooks.and it has been used with bottom baits, pop ups and critically balanced baits, bit of an all round rig
  8. take your favourite coated hooklink, tie the loop in the hair leaving the coating on,knotless knot to your hook then peel the coating away from the eye of the hook up to the swivel end or whatever itis you use.simple
