Two rod limit. Can only night fish if an owner is fishing with you otherwise off the lake by 10. Been fishing slow this year. Some cracking roach and perch to go at if that's your thing. I think baitboats are allowed . Don't ignore the margins 😉

Starting to regret it now. Just can't get comfy and the mozzies are nothing like I've ever seen before. I actually thought it was raining but it was the mozzies bouncing off the top of the brolly.

It just means traveling heavier . My usual quick set up is just a brolly and a lightweight bedchair which isn't very comfy. But my memory foam one doesn't fit in the brolly so I'd have to take my bigger bivvy and the chair itself weighs over 15kg. How did you do your ribs mate?. I thought the pain was finally easing up bit earlier and then I sneezed lol.

Debating doing an overnighter between work tomorrow night. Only thing putting putting me off is I cracked a couple of ribs go karting last weekend and don't think a night in my bedchair is gonna do me any favours.

Couldn't agree more. I think the fact he has worked at international youth level is a benefit. I like the way he has the team confident enough on the ball that they don't just play a wasteful pass when nothing is on, they do back and start again. It's a very young team so it bodes well for the future.

Isn't it great to be watching england with no pressure on the game. Normally we need to win the final group game and I'm a nervous wreck.

To be honest I'm more passionate about england than west ham. The one thing I like about Southgate is that he has actually got a certain way he wants the team to play. And you can see game by game how the players are taking this on. The last manager to it was probably Glenn hoddle.

I always believe mate. I just get let down a lot.

That's the problem. Our media convinces people that we have the best league and the best players which is false. And people think we are better than we actually are. But we seem to be hitting a bit of form at the right time for a change so you never know.

The same Panama who drew 1-1 with Wales not long ago and who kept Belgium out for nearly an hour. They aren't that good but seeing england win 6-1 at a tournament is good enough for me.

I think we have done well so far. Having watched england stink the place out for the last 4 or 5 tournaments. I like the fact they actually look they are enjoying it and the players all seem match fit for a change. I doubt we will the world cup but hopefully minimum quarters.

Gonna do another overnighter in between work tomorrow. Back on the bigger lake same as last week. Think I have worked out a patrol route of the carp. I fished about 30 yards from where the lake narrows and goes into a shallow bay where there is no fishing allowed. My first fish came at 1,30 am and the second at around 5, 30 am . I believe the 1st one was the carp moving out of the bay and the second was them going back into it. Gonna probably go back to the same area tomorrow unless the fish tell me other wise.

Been at the lake for a couple of hours. Only one here and will be going straight to work in the morning . Had 2 shows a rod length out so that's where I've just moved one rod to. The other one is close to an areator with a couple of kilos of bait . Hopefully won't be plagued by the big bream in here.

I've had a little play with adjustable zigs lately. Had 2 takes and lost both. Also struggling with tangles at the moment so a bit if fine tuning needed. I'm gonna give the bigger of the 2 lakes our club has got a good go this summer. Been visiting as much as possible after work and have realised the carp really move about in big shoals. Think it might be the ideal place to really commit to the zigs.

So is 8 foot the minimum you would fish zigs in mate?.

Just seen that the carp that was caught last year looking seriously bloated at 83lb had died. Anybody surprised,?. Looked like it was ready to explode when it was caught last, surprised it lasted as long as it did.

They look quite easy to make as well to be honest. Think I'll have to get one myself now.

Great bit of kit. Keeps the birds off your hookbait as they spook from line hanging down. Also sets the hook really well. Haven't used one for a few years to be honest( don't know why).

I hooked into a massive cat while surface fishing a few years back. My 8lb hooklink didn't stand a chance . Must off took 60 yards in a couple of seconds. I tried to stop it but it just flattened my rod .
