  1. lol Too slow, already been there Good Ingredient in a Particle/Spod Mix!
  2. Try making your own out of a length of Pike Strand wire! See if that works;)
  3. I think that the Heinz Beans are the only beans that are really Baked. The others are nearly all Soaked and Boiled in Tomato sauce. Do Mushy Peas make a good Groundbait ingredient when using Peas on the hook?
  4. Have had no problem with them. I still use them for Chub and Floater fishing at times. I do often bend the eye forward though!
  5. A length of Amnesia also works or a paper clip round the bottom with a 1oz bomb attached to the clip holds it straight, but I prefer the Gardner Tube Threader myself. Always best to use NEW, clean tubing to set-up with.
  6. MMMMMmmmm!!!! Baked Beans are a great Bait as Coops Says, but my choice is for the Shops own brand rather than Heinz. The Heinz Beans I find are too well cooked and are a little bit soft, whereas the Own Brand are slightly tougher.
  7. This link shows how I attach the swivel to the Loop. http://www.carp.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=17291
  8. The leadcore splice works on the Chinese finger trap method, where as the outside is pulled tight it shrinks in size and traps itself on the inner part of the spice. There really is no need for glue at all as this could stop the movement of the outer core which needs to stay supple to expand and detract as required to cause the hold. If you splice into itself for about a centimetre it will stay tight on itself. Also if you make the loop large enough at the Hooklink end you can attach your swivel loop to loop method. I'll dig up a pic for you!
  9. My Thumbnail. Remove what you need to tie the rig you want! I have some rigs with just a supple hair and a stiff hooklink, some with a supple length next to the hook, some that is supple at both ends and stiff in the middle.
  10. Not being funny, but there are loads of Pics of easy to tie rigs on Carp.com! On these threads are some simple Rigs and knots: http://www.carp.com/article2.html http://www.carp.com/article26.html I have posted pics of Easy to tie rigs, that can be used as a starting point for all Hooklink Materials. I would never use a Rig that I hadn't tied myself, if something goes wrong on a rig that somebody else tied, who is to blame. If you lose a fish on a rig you have tied yourself you can only blame yourself. Plus from where you are hooking the fish you can see what you need to do, lengthen/shorten the Hair, rig length or change hooksize!
  11. Carp-R-Us Nailers, Longshank Nailers, Centurions, Kamasan B175's, Drennan Super Specialist.
  12. Carp-R-Us Nailers, Longshank Nailers, Drennan Super Specialists and Specimen Hooks. Barbed vs Barbless, have a look at the Thread of that Title in Advanced Carp Fishing. Its a personal thing that is decided by yourself and the Fishery Owners.
  13. Interesting Results, shame about the Knot strength worries with Fluorocarbon.
  14. Not sure how clear this will come up but Pic attached. If you use bait floss or Hair Braid it works well. Even easier if you cut a Groove round the Bait before you put it on. Or you can use a Bait Band. If you put it round the hook and put the end of the Bait Band through itself, you can then put it through or around the bait.
  15. Thats an even better one: http://www.sea-fishing.org/Fishing-uni-knot.html
  16. Try this link. There are a couple of ways to attach it on there complete with Pics http://www.carp-uk.net/rigs/leadcore/leadcore.htm
  17. I use a Uni knot for tying Mainline to Leadcore Loops. Never used the Armaled stuff, got on with the ESP and so see no need to change!
  18. In 2 years on there I lost 2 fish to hookpulls, never had one give way, bend or snap on me! Ask Ian how many fish I caught;) :D
  19. PMSL, Cheaper to use the Car-R-Us Nailer Barbless! :D
  20. Easy no problems http://www.carp.com/article2.html or http://www.carp.com/article26.html Try them
  21. http://www.tacklebox.co.uk/ Tackle Box. Complete On-line Catalogue and ordering service I know that they have an International Reputation, give them a shout.
  22. I have actually put a brown piece of Floating Putty on the Hook, and caught! Negligible compared to my posts? Thats what comes of spending too much time on the PC and not enough working or fishing!
  23. Doesn't look like a blabber to me Mate, I like using the Water Knot as the Link, if I fish a slightly snaggy area I can attach floating putty over the Join knot. If a fish goes through the snag then the putty will pull of without snagging.
