  1. I did well on fishmeals, the shallows are the far end from the car park... Great pool, gorgeous surroundings and a great stamp of fish
  2. Bottom end in the shallows... I tell everyone! If it's warm you will be on te fish without fail at some point!
  3. Just having a wonder, although I might do the odd session down there this year just cuz I love the place
  4. Get to willesley!! And down to the shallows, stacks of fish down there today when I walked round, but everyones to lazy to go down that end
  5. Definatley spawning on tues... I wad watching them in the reeds in amazement because of the water temps
  6. they were spawning the day before when i was looking around, and looked like they were pairing up for it again yesterday
  7. Not a good day for either of us then,, where did you have that from?
  8. just got back from a short day session, just the one lost fish to me, dissapointed not to have landed it but pleased to have got a bite,,, most the fish just seem to be cruising round with no interest in feeding, gutted iv had to come off early as i could see that changing and them getting there heads down this evening nice to be back after 4 years
  9. Well with the reeds and that bay being stitched up I'm on the opposite point trying to snare any fish moving through close in.. Have lost one, and seen one come out off the other point to someone, fish have spooked since my loss and done a runner for now
  10. Had a load of fish out about 4 years ago to over 30, but then made the eternal mistake of selling the gear to afford to move in with the gf... That went tits up and I'm just scraping the hear back over the last couple of weeks to start again it's fishing harder than it did from what iv been told, but still fancy a couple if I can find them
  11. Ill have a brown carpology hoodie on, come say hello
  12. I'll be on 2moro hopefully aswell
  13. just spent a couple of hours walking round pine pool, the majority of the fish were in the reeds or within 20 yards of them, with very litte happening in the main bay, 3 people fishing and not one had seen a fish other than in the reeds (yet they were all within the first few pegs of the car park and hadnt moved on to them) they were apparently spawning early this morning aswell, so hope the majority get it out of the way before the weekend for the bcac
  14. Take it the lamb have been up to there old tricks with stocking then??
  15. Was thinking of the carp lake, not the match pool, have heard fairly good things so far, spoke to the baliff on te phone and he wasn't full of bull which made a nice change cheers for the warning though
  16. Has any one fished lychgate in Stoke Golding near Hinckley?? Keep hearing good things but havnt had chance to go for a mooch yet
  17. It's a pretty little pool, wouldn't say stunning though, not when compared to pine pool or willesly, have walked around it for a mooch a couple of times but never wet a line, however a lot of people seem to really like the place
  18. have walked it a couple of times, stunning place, with alot of potential, can be fairly weedy from what iv seen and heard.. on the plus side they now allow boilies and pellet worth a look id say
  19. dont think you can class borrowpit as huge, or hard.. get on 20 or 21 fish to the island, and in to the shallow bay on 21 and you will catch fish,
  20. glorified duck pond,, not heard anything about it re opening though,,seems daft to keep it shut
  21. also the BCAC is back on there in a few weeks, get yourself down and chat to some of the lads fishing that,,,
  22. the fish thefts were all internal...a few years ago there was a bit of a fish kill down there, after which the remaining stock grew very quickly to which point a number were then moved to canal pool! not an easy water, but far from being a hard water, i used to fish alot of evening on there when its a bit quieter,, off one of the 2 points you used to be able to catch them very close in if you were quiet, beds of bait have worked for me a number of times, but in general your best off finding the fish and fishing for one at a time with small baits and minimal loose feed. loat count of the number of fish iv had out of here, and would expect a 20 each trip, and i took them to over 30 cracking water and one ill be doing a few shorts sessions on again this year
  23. used to love the place before it went syndi.... bit of a closed shop now aswell for a ticket from what i hear
  24. keep an eye on carp talk,,theres always a a piece in roy russels midlands report... dontforget to check the shallows out now the weathers warming up
  25. bonehill used to be full of snags, untill neal took over the place and ruined it!! the riddings has never done a 40! i know the bloke whos had the biggest, tht was nearly 10 yeas ago now, and its not been out at that size since, infact hardly any decent fish come out any more! youl struggle to find fish of that size without travelling abit further afield, other than at cuttle mill but thats no night fishing! try and find out how big the fish go on the berkswell syndicate, that could be worth a try! get down pine pool if your after a steady stream of 20's nites can be done, but no sleeping and definatley no bivvy, there for wimps anyway!!!!
