  1. Nick you could be in business there mate with the sausages. make your own size pellet...... just cut to your required size.... Ohh better © and that before anyone else does.
  2. I have lost fish on the korda clips (even using the buffer bead) if the swivel gets into the groove then it pulls away. dont know what the nash ones are like but similar could be happening
  3. sliding helicoptor for me. i just set the bead back up around 12 inchs+. the lead goes in the slit and the rig slide up and settles down nice. With this you could have a short link of stiff braid so it kicks away from the line. 3 ins stiff and a 3/4 inch combi or something.
  4. Your not the only one having a tough time. is it just me or have less big fish been caught this year???? certainly seems that way. You get your reward in the end.
  5. I'm going to save the clear glitter one for line aligners etc but the others are going on Adam the stuff is just like shrink tube but multi coloured a pack is 70p but you get about 50 3 foot strands while waiting for the take you could be making the rest into keyrings for cheapo xmas pressies LOL:D
  6. Has anyone seen these scoobie things??? all the kids are making key rings and stuff out of them. they come in all manor of colours some glittered. i have pinched some in yellow, blue and red and think i can catch a carp with one of them up the line. We try to conseal everything but i dont see many red glittered leaders about, could something so outragous catch fish??
  7. Mono/braid combi both ways. Multi perpose, multi bottom and multi bait.
  8. Loads of pros and cons to all of the materials. I use leadcore and fluro mainly. but fishing fluro slack in clear water seems not too good unless the fluro is dead straight as it pops up and is visable against the bottom. I dont like tube one bit but thats just my oppinion. leadcore is fairly universal and does most jobs but i like fluro for bag rigs/method where the bait and lead/frame are close together. If you use fluro for a leader i recomend using a uni to uni knot to join as the leader knot slips too easily. you dont need to many turns though i use 4 in 15lb ghost to 12lb duo. If you use inline leads then get some taipered sleives for the lead to stop the line catching. (i use the ones off the fox samll method feeders as these are perfect size)
  9. Did Frankensein un screw it first:D I thought it was a nut tied to the line
  10. Lost more fish this year on Korda long shanks that any other hook at any time ever. Still use raptors myself but stick to the smaller sizes. Had best results on the new range of mustad hooks, stayed sharp and held lovely i think its jus tthe shine that puts people off
  11. No body use fluro leaders then. dont like tube leadcore has its uses but i like fluro for leaders. Cant stand fluro hooklinks though:D
  12. Get the gardner stuff it is top drawer. No need for stop knots and leadcore being wrapped around the line as it sticks very well. What i tend to do is with braid i roll the gardner stuff into the braid so that the length is weighted rather than one spot. you can roll the smallest pinch up about an inch of braid and it stays there. I used to tie on stop knots with light line and wrap it round this but no need now:D
  13. I have not been for a long while but some things will never change like the best pegs, try and get on the boards peg 34 a,b,c,d,e,f,g, as these are always the fliers and win all the matches from these. if they are taken then try to get 35-40 on the corner of the dam (boat house) The lake used to fish well from the corner opposite the dam where you have a little extra water to fish. (i think these are 89-90) up the sides are also good from 90 -100 and 25-33 but it gets shallow from 1-18 (boat club side) and 100+ so best if its warm. The dam is fairly productive all along but if your off the fish it can be hard going. This time of year i would imagine the method to be best although float fishing in close will produce of the dam (mid wall)
