I understand completely what your saying about the unwind there’s just something relaxing about being by that water trying to outwit an animal that is king of its domain at one with nature

I head someone methionine a talon tip a while ago on here can’t remember by who now I used them for a very short spell on a few different rigs an found they caused a little more mouth damage than normal has anyone used these or thoughts guys

I luv’d the g- point gamagatsu but you can’t get them anymore if you could I’d go back to them in a flash one of the best hooks I ever used

One of my ex used to turn up at the water to check I was fishing we would argue after a few months of it and a major argument I went over a friends not far from where we lived he asked me to tell my cousin to stop parking behind his car every Thursday just so happens that was my fishing day needless to say I caught them she’s gone an I’m a Christmas card better off 😂😂😂

I’ve watched Adam penning hook sharpening video an what the guy says is true you do get sitters and screamers and if that hook has allready gone past the barb it’s a whole lot harder to get rid of

Ouch I never used to sharpen my hooks but a friend gave me a fly vice and I took a healers file to a few and used them yesterday they were nailed up on the bend forceps to get them out they were only small carp but hard mouths really hard in fact this is how far I took mine

It’s hard sometimes to find a balance and highly I understand your passion I’m the same fishing is allways on my mind my partner understands this and FairPlay to her puts up with me cooking bait making liquids etc like you highly it’s all I do I don’t gamble etc I don’t even go out to pubs for a pint but we have both had bad lives with other partners so we work together we don’t even argue as we both don’t like it (weird)no one is perfect highly if it’s worth saving find a compromise life is too short highly

It’s only a shallow lake and was frozen solid 2 days ago it’s only a small match lake I think the biggest in here is maybe a 20 right time of yr but it’s nice buzzards are around so not much bird life on the water Yay 😁. Still mint condition and gave a good account for themselves
