Jus had a walk round local water park...walking past a peg with a rubbish bag and an open box of Bakers Complete (floater fishing ??)...so i put the bag in bin...picked up the box of biscuits and the bottom gave in...bag of biscuits fell out...and so did this... Not hard really to jus put rubbish in bin and tackle in your bag or box. Imagine if a dog had put its nose/mouth in the biscuits for a sniff or mouthful.

For the rods I would say 'ouch!' 3.5lb is a heavy test curve that is designed more for long distance casting than fishing, fish playing. I still say that in the UK you need no more than 2.75lb TC, with an absolute maximum of 3lb unless you do need to cast long. Fashion has gone a long way in making life more difficult than it need be. Matching reels do make life easier, although the 10000 size is about right in either the DL, Beastmaster or XTB; the DL is a 'larger' baitrunner but with 15lb line due to line diameter and capacity you would struggle to cast much above 90metres. The other two from memory are 'big pit' style. After using DL and Beastmaster reels, I honestly think the Beastmaster are better quality.

If you have a motorhome you can stay in our village park beside a lake for €4 per night including water and electricity. I could be persuaded to tell you where the hole in the fence to the other lakes is. First trip with small float rod saw several roach on maize then lost a large fish straight into tree roots because clutch was set far too lightly. Second trip 15 lb common on boilie Third trip was a blank but did hear a VERY large splash. N.B. my trips are only for about 4 hour each so plenty of potential yet.

My lake only allows barbed hooks although I have had a go with them at White Cottage. Got snagged in the pads, Bailiff went out to try to free fish, fish got off, he had a pop at me for using barbless. 😱
